I love the JJF-video, but my favorite is this version of the Angie-video: (sorry I was not able to find the complete version on youtube) Jagger is magnificent - his theatricallity, his outbowieing Bowie (in a Death in Venice suit). The glimpse of Keith - and Charlies overbearing look on the frontman/frontmen in front of him. I hope the will release this - and their other magnificent

QuoteLynd8 Blues man, Blues! & Some Acoustic stuff, we need to hear some harmonicas, slide guitars and some good lyrics. No "bare your breast" bullshit. Good lyrics yes, but I hope they wont make an album dominated by blues tunes. It's a dead end and has been for decades - since Down in the hole on ER.

Though I enjoy reading the book (Keith is a good storyteller, though not reliable), I really agree with you, Doxa. But I started to get suspicious of this Keith-worshipping (by critics, most new RSfans and Keith himself) somewhere in the nineties.

It would be nice to have a book with all these iconic jump suit photos from the 1973-tour. There are lots of books with photos from the sixties, but as far as I know none from that tour.

Quoteliddas QuoteDoxa But if here was one gap that wasn't so huge that was between BEGGARS and LET IT BLEED. - Doxa Huge gap for me! Beggars is still strongly rooted in the late Brian Jones era (in a certain way I always see it as an evolution of the Aftermath concept). Bleed is the first album of a new era, dominated by Keith's "new" confident use of the electric

Quotethabo I really like this album, it is really very good. some one somewhere said that in 30 yrs this one may be considered a classic, I think this is true. It has however one minor point and that is Charlies drumming, it sounds quite similair through out the whole album. But I agree with many of the responses to the track talk about Dance (not from A.B.B.) and think that the Stones would be w

Down in the hole was o.k. back then, but looking back it is the point where their blues tracks grew hollow. They are only there to please the blues purists in the fan base. Back of my hand is the last example.

I saw it yesterday in Copenhagen - and I was a bit disappointed with the sound too. There was no significant improvement compared to the bootlegs I've heard.

I don't think this link has been posted before. The article is from august 25th 2006, just prior to the concert in Horsens, Denmark. The article compares Jagger's lyrics to Angie and It won't take long to Soren Kierkegaards The Seducer's Diary and the poem Angst by danish poet Emil Aarestrup.
