Exactly - no way in hell he will be near a bunch of sweaty drunks in a club - and honestly - if they start up with the mask thing again i wonder if they would push it back again?

this one was on red vinyl - not warped but pressed "off-center" - so it sounded wobbly (for lack of a better word) on a couple of the records - you could see the arm going back and forth - there were no skips that i remember but some noise though - but to be honest some of that noise cleared up after a good cleaning -

had a chance to listen to the vinyl box set version of this over the weekend - it was definitely a bad press on a couple of the discs which was unfortunate for my friend who shelled out for it - still cool to look at though-

I work at a record shop and put on "Sticky Fingers" the other day - I could tell as soon as "Brown Sugar" started -even with the mask - that this one angry looking, chubby person (that usually never buys anything) was going to say something - which she did - I politely welcomed her to leave if she didn't want to hear it - which surprised her as a lot of these people think

Hello pals - Can any of you recommend a book that covers Rolling Stones recording sessions? I skimmed through the The Rolling Stones All the Songs: The Story Behind Every Track by Phillipe Margotin but saw some pretty silly errors which rendered it useless in my opinion- I wasn't sure if there was anything out there or not - Thanks All, CT

Thanks so much for posting this Marko - That Raleigh show brings back a lot of memories - for one it was the 2nd time I'd seen them - first time was Greensboro at the coliseum when I was 8 - I was 19 for this one and they were 2 different animals entirely - we camped out for tickets and still got lousy seats hahah - At the time I wasn't very happy with the tour - plus the week a

Well - seeing as WAP (Wet A** Pu**y) won a Grammy or whatever - and that idiot got to interview Biden when no one else can - why can't Mick & Keith put out "C.S. Blues" ? - that' how it' been labelled on bootleg VHS tapes since the 80's - it doesn't seem anything is offensive anymore -

A Doom & Gloom rewrite talking about Tik-Tok will age as well as a song about Netscape Navigator- or Sweet Neocon- I'm sick of seeing Kurt Cobain's drummer too -

Maybe Ray didn't think it was that great and passed it off to another band and hoped to make a few bucks if the song did anything - Ray has historically been a master of shooting himself in the foot - as much as I LOVE some of the Kinks albums- some I think are absolutely brilliant and can't really be compared to anything else - BUT- there are some of their albums that a CREEM magaz

Been trying in vain to locate this recording of what is said to be "Special -The Unreleased 2nd album' - aka "The Cozy Powell tapes" There was a thread from a few years ago discussing this recording and a link was up and then it was down - so IF i am violating a forum rule by requesting this it's not intentional - I've been a member for years and would never jeopa

Before I go down the Hyde Park audio rabbithole suggested by a friend on here I am listening to the first Pink Fairies LP - one of those bands that people either like or don't like - no middle ground-

I remember those sketchy VHS copies they had at a grocery store here in NC , Lowe's Foods - they had a bin of videos for about 6 bucks each back in 87-88 and that was my first copy of it -

I do remember liking "Flaming Pie" - it was hot on the heels of the Anthology thing - so much I need to listen to again- Paul's solo stuff was huge when I was a kid - all of those singles bring back memories of when I was 3-4 years old when I hear them - my brother is 10 years older - I'm 51 now and he would buy and blast out everything back then - thank God for him haha-

Wow I didn't realize he was that old - good for Willie We took my sister to see Loretta Lynn a few years ago - she was probably 73- voice sounded about the same but sitting down and frail - like visiting your Grandmother- The most surreal show we took her to was this guy Ronnie Milsaps - he's blind and plays piano - he would play a song or 2 and talk for 20 minutes while controll

yep i forgot about Steven Tyler - he still sounds pretty much the same too - haven't heard any new Fogerty- I bought Paul's Egypt Station a few weeks ago used but I just couldn't get into it - I'm going to give it another spin and try - this last couple weeks I've been trying to compile my own compilation of these new outtakes like many of us here are -

will do - it's actually an exciting experiment and a whole new perspective - on Sunday I listened to "Drippin Honey" - which is the Charlotte, NC 1972 boot - it's my favorite live Stones recording - the original vinyl boot I have of it isn't great but over the years better versions have surfaced- when I hear it it blows my mind that I was just 2 years old when it

from their point of view that show must've been surreal on many levels - not only their first live show in a while - in front of a HUGE crowd - plus doubling as a wake - they were in shock like any of us would be when someone close dies even if they were aggravated with him or not - i'm sure they were all drunk or whatever else too - Bill and Stanley Booth's description of the mood

I didn't realize this until about 6 months ago when I looked at some youtube clips - I don't really follow him - I like him and respect him but I'm a member of THIS page haha It's a shame though about his voice - when I think about these older guys - it seems like Mick has been really lucky - his voice sounds about the same - still good and sounds like "him" - ot

50 Turned 50 last year and still can't wrap my head around it - luckily I still have my hair - First Rolling Stones memory is my older brother playing Goat's Head Soup on the console record player at my Grandparent's house in 1973 - it's a vivid memory because the cover scared me- but not as scary as our Mom yelling at him when the last song came on- First concert was

since live recordings are "touched up" a lot of the time - especially when you compare bootleg recordings to official product of the same show - i wonder if they touched up this one and when? and if recently, who?
