The first Stones album I ever got was "Some Girls" when it first came out. I hate to admit this but the first rock album I ever bought was the first Boston album (because of the album cover). After I bought "some girls" I bought "Hot Rocks 1964-1971" (nope not the Shelly version). Life was NEVER the same since. Charles Baudelaire 1821-1869

Thank you Edith Grove! Yes it is Irma Thomas and she gets a HUGE vote from me. The woman radiates smoke, grit, and molasses. I love her to death. Of course Brigitte Bardot has to be the best of them all (if you want to put her in the rocker category). Back in the 50s and 60s the sex kitten reigned supreme. What I would do to be a fly on the wall inside her bedroom (or inside her for that ma

Sici, that is some awesome stuff! I probably don't have anything to trade you for it. If you have this already, you probably already have all the Stones stuff I have for sure. I do have tons of Dylan cd bootlegs. Too many to post......I also have a lot of other stuff. Just email me with *whatever* you like and I'll see if I have anything that matches. I also am a huge jazz love

sendspace is blocked on my computer because I am living with my brother who has little children. I wish that sendspace was less interested in getting us all dates and more interested in just the music. That's why I like yousendit. Charles Baudelaire 1821-1867

Happy Jack, I must disagree. "Sunflower" as well as the lost "Landlocked" are masterpieces. The "Surfs Up" record is a great effort especially with the underrated "Til I Die". Neither are on the level with the lost "Smile" but they are great albums. "Wild Honey" and "20/20" are terrifc lp's as well. The one thing t

Elmo, You're right! Rod has it within him (he sure has put it in others) to make a great rock record. He should just make an lp with Ronnie Wood. It would sound brilliant if the feeling was right. Even better if Tom Waits wrote all the songs and Auggie Meyers was playing his haunting organ à la "Love Sick" from Dylan or Sir Douglas Quintet. Charles Baudelaire 1821-1867

I definitely want this set! After all Kiss was one of the best live bands of all time. There are only bootlegs that exist (I have the Houson 77 show which is great) but I prefer the early stuff from 74-76. I still love everything up to Kiss Alive II however. They may like the substance (or substances, LOL) of the Stones but Kiss is undeniably very fun and a huge crowd pleaser. I know Gene Si

The Chicago one sounds the best so far but I haven't heard this one yet though. I love the way there isn't a loud screamer at the chicago show. I can't wait to download this show. Chicago had "on the nickel" and "time". Charles Baudelaire 1821-1867

I saw Dylan at Staples back in 2003. Great show. I am going to see him this Wednesday in Sacramento at Echo Arena. I can't wait! I don't have enough money to buy his new lp and have not read any setlists so I am hoping to be completely surprised. Of course I will see the Stones and Van Morrison early next month here in the Bay Area. It seems that I should have no problem getting a

Killer show! Tied with Philly 72 as the best show from '72. It's so wonderfully sloppy that it would have been purrrfect had Black Sabbath or Cactus or Camel opened for them. Charles Baudelaire 1821-1867

One of the most popular Neil boots which is the live show from LA in 1971, somewhere on the UCLA campus I think, still hasn't been released. That is just plain silly because this is the "Live 1966" for Neil imho. It's sad to hear that Neil isn't releasing a full Crazy Horse show from 1970. No point in buying this one--I'll just wait until it shows up at the li
