Wow! What a magnificent post of posts! This is some of the tastiest stuff ever posted on this board. No doubt about it....that country feel behind some of the "Some Girls" tracks would not have been the same without this music....without Gram Parsons' influence on Keith. Gotta love this beautiful and seminal music! Charles Baudelaire 1821-1869

I saw the movie last weekend at the Drive Inn! Don't laugh! Yep, here in the States we still have drive-inns and they're a gas. In fact because my stereo has a halfway decent audio system, it sounded a lot better than being in a stuffy cinema house. The only problem is that I brought my 5-month old son with me and my wife and I think the movie gave him nightmares (because of the int

Awesome show! This was my first ever Stones concert. Killer version of "Under my thumb". Nice and sloppy. This show is *light years* ahead of the Phoenix show (despite the rain). Charles Baudelaire 1821-1869

spbetz, Let me know when you find out. I have been skeptical about converting lp's to cd's but then again there are some lp's like the mono version of "Forever Changes" by Love that I would love to convert to cd (albeit with at least a 320 bit rate). Now if someone would only release "Waiting for the Sun" by the Doors on cd in mono. I know it can be done

My favourite show of 72! The true EOMS concert. It may be sloppy on "rocks off" but I like it that way! Two thumbs up (and three thumbs up if Tina had opened for them!) Charles Baudelaire 1821-1867

Why would this not be Lyon 70? Sound is too raunchy to be the great Berlin 70 show and this doesn't sound at all anything like either of the Paris shows? Charles Baudelaire 1821-1867

No info on the catwalking feline who was gangtackled. I do know this was an awesome show (I was there!) This is Stones 101 for all those who don't have this show. A must. An absolute must. A nice companion to the Sacrmaento show. Charles Baudelaire 1821-1867

thank you MonkeyMan. This was the summer when I first got turned on to the Stones and their "Some Girls". This lp along with "Rumors" by Fleetwood Mac completely dominated the charts. Rod Stewart was still alive back then (but heart barely beating). What a shame such a great artist like Rod Stewart tanked so badly after the 1970s. Charles Baudelaire 1821-1867

Hi Stones junkies, Does anyone have any excellent quality recordings of Charlie Watts live at the Ronnie Scott's club in 2004? Of course I am not interested in the official release which has his stuff from 2001. I remember flying to London from Marseille to catch Charlie and his band in 2004 (hey there Juf!) and was curious whether there was anything out there from this year. Tha

Steely Dan is awesome! I don't think any other rock act could have gotten away with so obviously "borrowing" the Horace Silver Quinet's riff for "songs my father taught me" but they did and they pulled off "Rikki don't lose that number" without a hitch. My favourite is "Katy Lied" and then the live soundboard stuff from 1973 in LA. The o
