Ladies and Gentlemen DVD and Blu-ray disc go on sale in Australia this friday. I've waited to purchase it locally, partly because I wanted to see it in the cinema first. BTW, the two dudes that stood for the complete screening at the Jam Factory are hard core, glad I wasn't sitting behind you. Anyway, $21 for the 2 disc DVD is a good price. I haven't confirmed that the second d

I thought I might add, does anyone find it slightly painful to not hear the other guitar playing the alternating chords during the intro of Brown Sugar as on the 1973 recordings? I'm not one to get into the Woody v. Taylor argument, I like them both, but after the Brussels recordings, my ears want the two guitar opening...they're practically screaming out for it during the LA Forum 197

Do we think that the Stones have a better balanced complete in-line recording from the LA Forum in 1975? It would be interesting to know what they do and do not have in the vaults. As a big Elvis fan, there is near complete knowledge of what shows were and weren't captured from the desk, with the unknown element being which tapes the record company has in it's possession.

Sounds ok, not the best balance, but otherwise you're waiting for Jimmy Page to release something.

I think most of the Uk's public debt is in the form of gilts issued directly into the market. No banks required.

Seems to be a great amount of professionally filmed performances, would love a Rolling Stones equivalent to LZ's DVD.

Well, I think it's great. I shall become a Street Fighting Man if the left-wing elite ever succeed in ending 110 years of uninterrupted constitutional monarchy in my country. The day this country can provide for itself an office the equal of the Monarchy in handling the reserve powers, I shall be shocked.

I doubt the UK's public debt has been as low as 45billion quid since before World War 2. Im not sure 450 billion is high enough.

Hi, can someone clear something up for me about my copy of Brussels Affair. It's the so-called 2CD definitive edition. It has an audience recording of Star @#$%& tacked on the end of disc 1. Heartbreaker isn't featured on disc 1. My understanding of most single CD copies of Brussels is that the finale SFM is actually from London. Is this also the case with this 'definitive

So what's the next Stones project? We've had GYYYO, Exile and most recently L&G. None were quite hit out of the park, but all very welcome nonetheless. Surely the Exile project is viewed as a success by everyone, and guarantees the next Deluxe Edition. I'm sure the 50th anniversary will bring a treasure trove of rare 'wet dream' archival content. I just want it a

I know Jags is a bit of a sugar fiend, but I reckon I go ok with 19 different nationalities of sugar. Of course these days I'm a one sugar man, gotta becareful, don't wanna catch anything like diabetes.

Back when I was but a wee boy, my only Stones music was The London Years and Jump Back. I immediately took a liking to Emotional Rescue. The first time I heard the radio edit/40 Licks edit, it felt like my ear drums had been torn apart with a knitting needle.

I meant the actual performance of Copland's composition. As far as I'm aware, the Stones played a recording of "Fanfare", as they didn't have the orchestral tools on their stage to have it played live ala Elvis with Also Sprach Zarathustra.

Does anyone know the exact source of "Fanfare For The Common Man" used by the Stones in '75/76? Also, does anyone have any comments on the 2009 remaster of Love You Live as compared to the Virgin issue from the late 90's? I appreciated the remastered studio albums.

If Bon Jovi tickets were $50, I'd have virtually zero chance of getting a ticket. You'd have to be extremely lucky or an insider. I'm happy that I can express my economic utility by having a choice to out bid other fans.

I'm seeing Bon Jovi in December at Rod Laver Arena. $700 per seat (approx USD$700 these days) - yes I'm up close. Worth it to see a great band turning out a top show. It's supply and demand people.

Thanks. No way I'm shelling out for the 3 DVD deluxe box in Australia, but the regular version is 2 DVD's, so maybe that second disc has the footage.

Has anyone ripped the audio from the Ladies and Gentlemen DVD yet? I have to wait until late November for a local release, caught it in the cinema on the weekend. Anyway, is the ripped soundtrack good as a substitute for a CD? I usually find DVD soundtracks are pretty poor as audio-only.
