So it seems the hot tips, and perhaps the educated guess for the last three goggle music exclusive official bootlegs is NY or Philly '72, Atlantic City '89, and another oft bootlegged show. Perhaps Live'r than you'll ever be or Leeds Lungs. You can't be too disappointed with any of those shows in great sound for $5-$9 a piece. My hope is the Stones keep the program of rel

I guess I just don't feel for thugs, criminals, and people brandishing weapons in public. I'd love to hear the whole show in great stereo quality. They can cut UMT if they feel it necessary. Otherwise, Oakland or Boston from '69 MUST breathe air.

Also, is there any reason why Altamont wouldn't be released, aside from ABKCO issues? The distuption to the show was relatively minor, lasting across 2 songs. Mainstream press and media would report the official release of this show, bringing the band some attention and undoubtedly additional sales. I just can't get excited about 1971 shows unless it's got CYHMK.

I think I would feel most excited about a '69 show now. I'll pay for whatever they release, but '69 has such an awesome groove and pace. Would love another document of it. That said, it's criminal if there's not a NY or Philly '72 release scheduled. Can't get excited about Leeds '71.

Oakland '69, MSG '72, LA '75, El Machiato '77 would round the 2012 releases out for me nicely. I think they should aim to cover every tour, like the FTD series is aiming for with Elvis's live career from 69-77.

The problem with vehicles that consume more fuel than what is necessary to provide the basic utility of transportation, is that fuel is priced at the margin. So vehicles that are 'heavy' on gas result in all of us paying more for fuel.

Why the heck would you want these on a factory pressed CD? You would end up with half the releases at three times the price. Plus there would be more edits to fit stuff on the CD.

Well I've never been to Spain...but I kinda like the Beatle...but not much. Without the adulation of some, or person friendship of others, why would anyone like Lennon, the pompous, nasty prick he was?

Thanks Gazza, I too recall a short delay from the google music release and stonesarchive. Makes no sense though, the two stores are geographically serving exclusive markets.

Where the heck is the international release on stonesarchive.com? So there's no A-train intro? Hope they don't cut the spectacular Fanfare into from the inevitable TOTA75 release. Peace out.

FLAC is one of a number of codec algorithms (file formats) that can repackage standard PCM audio ( CD audio) in a more efficient manner, so file sizes are smaller but no actual audio information is thrown away. It differs from AAC and mp3 codecs in that they use psychoacoustics to throw away certain sound information that you are assumed to not be able to hear.

If, like me, you have an Apple Mac and you don't like mp3, you purchased the FLAC version of Brussels Affair. In case anyone's still struggling with the FLAC file format, a little Mac application called Max will convert the FLAC file to virtually anything, including Apple's own lossless ALAC codec, and very conveniently add the output to your iTunes library. And it's free.

Boxing Day (26 Dec) sales here in Australia used to see similar crazy scenes with people fighting over TV's and violet knit sweaters. In response to the injuries, retailers eventually eliminated the extreme write-downs of certain items.

I know they announced that there would be 6 releases, however, why limit it to 6? They're using the online distribution method, so costs after preparing the recording are minimal, keep it as an ongoing release program. The tapes have no commercial value in the vault going forward. The arse has fallen out of the music business anyway. Elvis Presley's curator has been releasing out takes

Don't care for anything from '89-present, there's enough of that already available. Would love something epic from '75, '69, '72, and the Brian Jones era.

Realistically, few people can legitimately claim to hear a 'real' difference between commercially encoded 256kbps AAC files from iTunes or the commercially encoded mp3's files from google and a CD. The home-bake AAC and mp3 rips from a CD is a different story. That said, I purchased the flac files from StonesArchive because that allows me to make a clean encode to the itunes cons

FWIW, Col. Parker's direction on Elvis' career in the 1950's was gifted. Get him on Tv, make him a national star, get in films and use the films to cross promote the records. This strategy was broken by about '62. Made heaps of money, but at the expense of Elvis' critical reception.

What's the point of reaching young audiences with BS computer generated atrocities? It doesn't draft them across to the real catalogue, they don't have a long enough attention span. Start releasing outtakes, and let the old fans pay money for them.

I love the scene in L&G, late during Street Fighting Man where Charlie's eating up the drums with Keef watching closely, while Jag's is doing some weird yet strangely compelling pelvic thrust moves lol. The urgency in his face suggests that the whole performance will fall apart if he can't keep the pace up. Rock Star. However, Elvis has the coolest Rock Star look. So uniq

Charlie would write a fascinating book, a completely different view of things, less ego, without the weight of the Jagger/Richards interplay.
