This interview was posted today. Starts with Keith talking about Charlie passing away, then he’s talking about Nellcote. I’ve only just started listening. Looks like it’s over an hour long

Here’s two pages regarding the El Mocambo gigs from Barbara Charone’s biography of Keith. She was living with Keith & Anita while writing her book.

These are the same things I read about on Instagram months ago. If the film canisters from the RnR Circus and Nellcote, etc are legit you’d be able to easily provide evidence. Same regarding the ten audio tapes.

I doubt Mick considers a new album to be very high on the list of priorities. There’s no money to be made off of it. Touring is where the money is. A new album could be seen as more of a promotional item for the tour but is probably considered a risk with very little reward. They spend time and money making a new album and they end up playing 2 songs off of it on the tour while the vast majority

There’s a photo of Brian playing one in the inner sleeve of High Tide & Green Grass I think. Maybe a different album, I can’t remember for sure.

I was thinking about the 2002 Licks tour and specifically the set lists and album themes and venues. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think they played clubs, arenas and stadiums and each show featured 4 songs from an album that’s considered to be one of their best. A quick look at the setlist page on It’s hard to argue with those setlists. What are your thoughts about that tour?

I hadn’t seen this clip before. Mick Taylor thoughts on punk music, 1979. Bowie and McCartney in there too.

There’s an Instagram account supposedly run by one of Tony’s relatives. Some of the pics had to have come from Tony. There’s one of reel to reel tapes labeled as “Stones in France” plus a few Nellcote pics I’ve never seen anywhere else. Could be BS tho, who knows

Thanks for the info everyone! Yeah, I thought it looked very 1972 but as mentioned, the Firebird kinda threw me off as I don’t recall ever seeing photos of Keith playing one in 72. It would be amazing if this footage is eventually shared in its entirety with audio!

Starting at 3:20 and it goes to 4:08 . The narrator is talking about Exile sessions but it’s not at Nellcote. At one point Bobby Keys is holding a guitar and Mick Taylor is behind a drum kit. I don’t recall seeing this before, Anyone know where/when it is? .

I imagine this has already been posted on here, but in case it hasn’t, here’s an interview with Charlie I just watched. Charlie’s enthusiasm and excitement when discussing music is really great in this

It’s hard to put into words how I feel about this. Here’s a few thoughts: Charlie didn’t have to spend decades drumming for the Stones. He could’ve led a quiet life that didn’t involve touring the world in a rock and roll band year after year. But he did just that. He chose to, and I think that speaks volumes about his love and loyalty to Mick & Keith. As fans of the band, we were truly lucky

QuoteDavie137 The end of January 2020 I had to deliver a parcel for his wife at their home, you could imagine my surprise when I looked in my side mirror to see this guy walking towards me immaculately dressed. I explained I had a parcel for his wife and that I wasn’t the normal postman so didn’t know the procedure for delivering his mail. He politely explained where it’s normally put and that th

I’ve seen the Stones 5 times since 1997. 4 times in Seattle and once in Tacoma. I can’t recall for certain, but I think the rare songs during those were Sister Morphine and Monkey Man.

Just saw some videos and pictures from inside Nellcote taken last summer on Instagram. It appears they’re from the people that were doing repairs on the gold leaf on the walls and ceiling. You’ll recognize the room from photos when Keith was there There’s more pics and videos on there

He clearly says 4. What would be it’s function? Do you really think 1970 Jagger could answer that?

It wouldn’t be the same without it in my opinion. It’s absolutely essential to what I consider one of their best songs. It’s a quick preview of the raw & ragged glory you’re about to hear. Anyone else appreciate the count in to Sway?

QuoteMingSubu My guess is the high stuff during the chorus. Didn’t Brian do the guitar high notes / lead lines in Get off my cloud? If so, you’re probably right.

How strange. I almost made this exact topic yesterday because I was listening to Undercover album and during Too Much Blood the bass really sounded great. I had to listen again because it sounded so good to me and I guess I’d never realized that before.

Dreams to remember... first listen didn’t hit me. But I listened to it twice tonight and now I can’t stop listening to it. It takes its time, which suits the tune. Good stuff.
