QuoteProfessorWolf Quotemrfancyman QuoteVoodooLounge13 Quoterollmops Will the new record be dedicated to Charlie? Rockandroll, Mops I absolutely hope so!!! It would be great if there was at least a half page in the booklet with some photos - rather rare at that - of him over the years and nice little acknowledgement of some sort. I say Charlie's picture on the front cover!!!!! done

Wow, 600 pages of this thread, who would have thought it could last this long. Lots of interesting chit & chatter but a ton of b.s. to go with it, lol. Carry on ladies & gentlemen, the end is not in sight (plug for the Amazing Rhythm Aces).

QuoteRocky Dijon Looking back on the past three decades, I wish they had made more Stones albums and solo albums and done less touring. Purely selfish, but I'll always wish there had been more songs to enjoy or critique. The thing about bitching about setlists or sidemen or arrangements is we can choose not to go a concert. The thing about wishing they wouldn't make a new album at

Quotebv QuoteRSbestbandever I would think Atlanta will be on the U.S. tour list and possibly another city in the south if the tour does come to North America. They played Atlanta Nov 11, 2021 i.e. less than a year ago. Even if I loved Atlanta and the show there last year, I am sure there are other cities in the USA to choose from next year. Yes, there are many other cities that they could cho

QuoteGasLightStreet QuoteBashlets Even if it’s a really good album 90% will complain that it’s not as good as the big four, Some Girls etc Put me in the 10%. I take whatever is as is and enjoy it. There is greatness on STEEL WHEELS, VOODOO, BRIDGES and BANG. Well said, agree completely.

I think Ju Suis reaches the dizzying heights of #14 It stayed in the top-40 for a reasonable time, too. I should listen to it. I have heard it before, though don’t recollect the melody. Bill has "som

Quotekeefriffhards QuoteDeanGoodman QuoteGerardHennessy I honestly think that a fall tour may be too soon for at least one of the 'big three'. Maybe even more than just one of them. The Stones are fine. It's some of the fans I'm worried about. Exactly Dean, and what's especially annoying is the cryptic way posters expect the Stones not to tour soon. I noticed fro

QuoteDoxa Following the band too closely seemingly makes one's life miserable. Every gig always a disappointment. One thing that seems to be forgotten in this stamp collecting culture in which a varied setlist is a value of its own is that any new song for the tour loses its impact pretty soon (after one or two performances). For example, the Stones playing "Out of Time" does no

QuoteProfessorWolf my thoughts on ronnie td and smu sounded terrible that's not new i can only think of a handful of solos from those songs he's done in the last ten years that were any good the rest of the show he was fine not his best but he's allowed an off night every now and then with what he's been thru and what hell is with the casual way we bring up the idea

Best of luck going forward VL, keep the faith and while you might not believe it right now, it's definitely possible that a better time is just around the corner for you. Don't give up completely on the past just yet, keep taking it a day at a time in the present and look forward to a future that has the potential to include much happiness and joy still to come in your life. QuoteNikkei QuoteHairball I don't think anyone is being too somber about this, just having a bit of compassion and restraint considering the situation. But you go ahead and be a clown making all the jokes you want...putting it all in perspective ...classy... Ok you're right classy it was not. Maybe I can save it by reminding the folks who travelled that they can still have the A

QuoteShawn20 Everyone is certainly entitled to their opinion. I initially thought they should hang it up - but if they would have, I would have missed three terrific shows in Nashville, Dallas and Atlanta. They were all top notch shows. For the Atlanta show I was reunited with a friend who last saw them with me in Orlando in 1981. There is nothing as exciting as hearing - "Ladies and Gentlem

My wife and I have tickets for his show in Montgomery, Ala in a couple of weeks. I've been checking his setlists but they all seem to be the exact same songs in exactly the same order. He has already played 3 or 4 concerts in the recent weeks but I'm yet to see anything other then the same setlist. I will continue to look but certainly hope he would mix it up when we go.
