QuoteDoxa Following the band too closely seemingly makes one's life miserable. Every gig always a disappointment. One thing that seems to be forgotten in this stamp collecting culture in which a varied setlist is a value of its own is that any new song for the tour loses its impact pretty soon (after one or two performances). For example, the Stones playing "Out of Time" does no

QuoteProfessorWolf my thoughts on ronnie td and smu sounded terrible that's not new i can only think of a handful of solos from those songs he's done in the last ten years that were any good the rest of the show he was fine not his best but he's allowed an off night every now and then with what he's been thru and what hell is with the casual way we bring up the idea

Best of luck going forward VL, keep the faith and while you might not believe it right now, it's definitely possible that a better time is just around the corner for you. Don't give up completely on the past just yet, keep taking it a day at a time in the present and look forward to a future that has the potential to include much happiness and joy still to come in your life. Sharing you

QuoteNikkei QuoteHairball I don't think anyone is being too somber about this, just having a bit of compassion and restraint considering the situation. But you go ahead and be a clown making all the jokes you want...putting it all in perspective ...classy... Ok you're right classy it was not. Maybe I can save it by reminding the folks who travelled that they can still have the A

QuoteHairball Quoteslewan QuoteHairball Quotejahisnotdead That's unexpected and sad news. I sure do wish Mick a speedy recovery and that no one else in the band or crew has tested positive. I'm sorry to all the fans who travelled to the show. It must be very frustrating. Yes, terrible news, and sorry for all the fans, along with Mick and the band.. Regarding some of the upcoming

QuoteShawn20 Everyone is certainly entitled to their opinion. I initially thought they should hang it up - but if they would have, I would have missed three terrific shows in Nashville, Dallas and Atlanta. They were all top notch shows. For the Atlanta show I was reunited with a friend who last saw them with me in Orlando in 1981. There is nothing as exciting as hearing - "Ladies and Gentlem

QuoteBBrew QuoteBFR QuoteTopi Yes. we bitch, we buy, we boast. Should we get IORR t-shirts printed with this slogan? I still have my old IORR shirt when Bjornulf made tthem! Yes, me too. I'm not sure how many were sold but they seem to be collector's items.I always wear mine to the Rolling Stones concerts but I've yet to see anyone else wearing one.

My wife and I have tickets for his show in Montgomery, Ala in a couple of weeks. I've been checking his setlists but they all seem to be the exact same songs in exactly the same order. He has already played 3 or 4 concerts in the recent weeks but I'm yet to see anything other then the same setlist. I will continue to look but certainly hope he would mix it up when we go.

Have to agree with you on that, it certainly is a personal favorite of mine as well. I certainly don't think as someone mentioned that they had just simply gotten tired of playing it, I believe there was more to it then just that. We can all guess and give opinions about why they didn't play it this go round but I most definitely would like to see it played again at some point going for

QuoteTravellinMan If they tour in Europe I would like to see Bill back for a couple shows. Something that would be a surprise like the Fully Finished Outtakes were for most of us in 2021. A solo album from Ronnie. An album of country covers in the spirit of Blue and Lonesome. And to top off the year a Christmas special with Claudine Longet like Andy Williams used to do? Excellent ch

QuoteTheflyingDutchman QuoteMathijs I am merely pointing out that just about everything you have posted here on Brian Jones has either been proven total bullshit, or falls in the category of just plain old conspiracy theories. Proven total bullshit are all the stories about Brian's house being 'raided' and evidence 'destroyed and burned'. All Brian's belonging

Mike from lower Alabama, I have seen the Rolling Stones 14 times and on every U.S. tour since seeing them for the first time in 1978 at the Superdome. Van Halen and the Doobie Brothers opened for them and at the time, I believe this set a world record for attendance at an indoor concert, 80.000 or so. I enjoyed immensely each show and was fortunate enough to be in Pit 1 in Atlanta this year. Have

Mick Taylor and Chuck Leavell may both have been invited and for whatever reasons didn't make it. It is also just as possible that neither of them were invited. What matters most is that from all we as fans have heard or read or seen, it was a very fitting tribute to Charlie.

I thought the show was pretty good overall though not as spectacular as some fans would have liked. As others have stated, in this kind of setting, I was thinking it was going to be a very special ROLLING STONES evening at the Hard Rock. I'm sure to many fans, that is what it was.I feel both the Nashville & Atlanta concerts were better but that's just my opinion. No matter what the

Sounds like a tough night with the traffic, it's a shame if people couldn't make there and had to miss much of the concert.
