What you have to remember in ANY of these sorts of presentations- This is a TELEVISION SHOW FIRST! All things related are designed and geared to gain viewership and sell advertising. THIS and this alone, are the primary driving force of these performances. We're on a Rolling Stones website, talking at length about her performance. Looks like it was a huge success.

I've always thought PIB would make a great opening song for a Stones show. Start with a single spotlight on Keith for the opening of the song, then let Mick, Charlie,Ronnie and the rest burst into the song as the lights explode onto the set.

QuoteTurner68 QuoteRollingFreak I thought Robbed Blind was outstanding. I was blown away. Have to really dig into the rest of the album, but just thought that song was incredible. Am I alone in that? It is one of my favorites so far too. I love that one as well. Overall I think this is an outstanding effort.

Love this album. Had it from day one. My particular favorites are Levon's great version of "The Night They Drove ol Dixie Down" and Bob's passionate version of "Knocking on Heaven's Door."

QuotePittsburghJoe I think the tour itinerary is fantastic. I am looking forward to seeing shows in some new cities and venues. We here in the US know just how great all of the towns are. It's a nice departure from the same old same old. If you think these places all suck then just don't go, I doubt you will be missed. As for the rest of us, we will be rocking in Columbus, Pittsburgh, B

To those of you complaining about not having anything to do in cities like Buffalo, Atlanta, Pittsburgh, Orlando, San Diego etc...That's a reflection on you. Not on these cities.

QuoteBluzDude Who is Paul McCartney? He was once in a band called the Beatles? He does one thing with Kanye West and now he's a big star! I guess we have Kanye to thank for that! Yeah, BDude. No one had ever heard of him before Kanye introduced him. Maybe he'll be somebody now. Seriously.

I'm reading Graham Nash's autobiography, "Wild Tales." It appears he penned this by himself. No other writers listed. I believe he's quite capable. Very talented man. Great read as well.

Disagree. Think its one of their best covers, along with "That's How Strong My Love Is." Just listening to JMI yesterday on the Hampton 81 CD.

Billy Preston improved EVERY band he played with. I saw him with the Stones in Cleveland in 1975. His "That's the Way God Planned It" performance at Concert for Bangaladesh was a show stopper. He's sometimes called the Fifth Beatle, especially for his contributions to Let It Be album and was instrumental touring with Eric Clapton shortly before he died. RIP.

Quotebeachbreak I came to this band late. I was more of a British band guy. Anyway, they are fantastic. Tom is a great songwriter, tons of good riffs and hooks in the songs that just stick in my head. Great guitar tone on their stuff. The lead player Mike Campbell (?) is so tasteful and right on in his playing. PS - Hypnotic Eye is so good. There are not many new rock albums anymore that I can

One of, if not THE, greatest American songwriters. Sounds of Silence, Bridge..., Boxer, Homeward Bound, America, Still Crazy..., American Tune and SO MANY more incredible songs/stories. Got to see him with Art on their Old Friends Reunion Tour. Everly Brothers appeared with them. Unbelievable. Check out the DVD of this tour.
