Thought there probably was. Hit the search button and all that came up was some posts about the Brown Sugar recording. My bad.

Searched and didn't see anything on this... If you haven't had the chance, be sure to see the "Muscle Shoals" movie. It was recently released on DVD. Mick and Keith are both in it numerous times, offering insights into their view of, and experiences at, the legendary recording studios in this tiny Alabama town. This true story of the tragic and triumphant life of R

Towards the end, when McGuinn, Petty, Young, Clapton, Harrison and Dylan join together to perform My Back Pages, is one, of the most incredible recorded scenes in rock history.

QuoteCristiano Radtke QuoteWoody24 I was fortunate enough to see him at last year's Farm Aid concert in Saratoga Springs, NY. It was reported on Thrasher's Wheat that that was his last public appearance. I feel blessed to have sen him. RIP. I'm not sure about that. He performed at the Cutting Room in november, just a few days after Ronnie and Mick Taylor, that also p

Quotetatters QuoteLadykiller I saw The Everly Brothers as special guest of the Simon & Garfunkel reunion tour in 2004. They were pretty good. RIP Phil Everly I saw them on that tour, too. It was their last hurrah, really. Only four songs, but they sounded great, and seeing all four members of rock's two greatest duos onstage at the same time was a pretty amazing thing. I was

I'm going to New Orleans for the first time for a wedding this weekend. Wanted to know if anyone know's a couple good record stores in the downtown area. I seem to remember seeing a post referencing some on here a couple weeks ago, but I couldn't find it. Not really interested in New Orleans jazz music. More interest in record stores carrying hard to find rock or boots ( pe

Having a great seat, somewhere near the action at ANY event- Stones, other concert or sporting event, versus having nose bleed crap seat is two completely different experiences. I refuse to purchase a ticket for any event, when the seat they're trying to peddle is far from great seats that cost exactly the same. I'd rather pay scalp price for a great seat, than lesser price for cr

Quotelettingitbleed pathetic that anyone in this day and age acts as if this guy or the role of Pope is somehow still relevant. Sure, he's not NEAR as relevant as Keith Richards in today's world. Sad.

Quotehbwriter I spent some time with Alice this weekend - awesome guy - talk about a Stones fan! Seeing them in '65 changed his life and totally inspired him - more on that later- but I did shoot some video of him doing No More... Couldn't agree more. I was fortunate enough to play golf with Alice a few years ago at The Phoenecian GC in Scottsdale. One of the nicest guys I'

Bummer, Buff. If you pull her set lists up on set-list fm, you'll see she does 2 or 3 covers every show...Ray Charles, White Stripes, Jefferson Airplane, Springsteen, many more. I gotta confess, I think she looks very hot as a blonde and I have no problem with that look over a grunge look. First discovered her on VH1 Storytellers. I view her different styles as being very versatile a

In addition...Grace Potter always does a couple cover tunes in her shows. When I saw her she did Neil Young's "Down by the River." She often includes her cover of the The Stones' "Paint It Black."

Anyone into Grace Potter & the Nocturnals? Great band out of Vermont (New England portion of NE U.S.) Can really rock or make some very bluesy vibes and ballads. Saw them recently in Cincinnati. Their latest album- "The Lion, The Beast, The Beat," is excellent. Have a couple other good albums as well. If you get a chance to see them, it's a great show and quite a bar

J. Geils Band was one of the openers for the first Rolling Stones concert I ever attended. June 14, 1975, Cleveland Municipal Stadium. Tour of the Americas, 1975. Great show. Also on the bill- Vitalie's Madmen and Tower of Power. Would love to see J.Geils again. Love Peter Wolf's solo stuff as well.

Instead, I'll put on some music, maybe play some Halo 4, something, anything except watch the game. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy football and my dad is a baseball historian so I have a great love of the MLB, but I really just don't care. Curious if ther
