Quoterunaway Quotedmay Regarding Virgil's note about Elvis never performing outside of the United States and Canada, this was because of his manager, Colonel Parker. Parker had entered the United States illegally when he was younger and was afraid to let Elvis leave the country to tour for fear that he (Parker) wouldn't be able to get back into the United States if he went on tour with

Quotefalo01 QuoteTheGreek Quotefalo01 QuoteTheGreek Paris 76 is a smoking hot show and Ronnie really shines with his leads ! Love this show ! Paris76 is a must especially because of the B&B tracks and, if they kept it, Cherry oh baby. So what to expect in 2019? Tokyo95 in the next days. Hopefully no further delay of Paris76. And then most probably either Atlantic City89 or St.Louis9

QuoteBashlets Everything 1989 post has been filmed somewhat. Most likely not much footage left from 60’s, 70’s, 80’s that hasn’t been seen. Probably cuts from Houston 1972 to make Ladies and Gentlemen. And of course Albert Mayles footage from 1969 including complete altamont, MSG, and possibly Baltimore. Never heard of NYC 1975 ever being filmed professionally. There are alternative versions

We've had a wealth of material over the last 7 years. Makes me wonder what else they've got in the pipeline.

I'm not overly bothered about the Paris '76 show. Any hints as to what we may be seeing in 2019?

Does anyone know why Brussels Affair has never been released on CD outside of Japan? Ladies 'n Gentlemen got a CD-only release.

Quotejahisnotdead Hi Rolling Stones fans! Not counting bootlegs and albums, what do you think is the single best Rolling Stones concert currently available on DVD/Blu Ray? Just curious. My pick would probably be Some Girls - Live In Texas, but the setlist of Paris July 11, 2003, (the Four Flicks Theatre Show) is my favorite setlist. Some Girls is a great performance for sure. If you only

QuoteElmo QuoteSpud I left Roundhay Park in '82 10 mins before the end because I had to catch the last train home . How pathetic is that for a man with a long history of sleeping on provincial station platforms or on the pavement outside Kings Cross. [ My excuse was that I didn't feel very well. Pathetic ] I saw Roundhay Park through to the end but vowed I would never see the b

Quotededospegajosos I hope we get the Copacabana 2006 Full show someday. Isn´t it considered for release? I heard that Four Flicks and Biggest Bang were, but maybe only video... Four Flicks and Biggest Bang were named on Eagle Rock's PR. Hopefully we'll get the uncut versions of all the shows in those boxsets.

QuoteHairball Not asking too much, but... Hope we get a cool reggae tune Stones style....and maybe an acoustic blues tune...while they're at it throw in an electric blues tune... ...also something stompin' funky ala Hot Stuff...and maybe something country-esque...and some straight old school Rolling Stones Rock and Roll.... Like every Stones album made since the late 70s?

My message to the people who make and market these deluxe packages is: consider whether you're just trying to flog units over the short-term or whether you want to make a product which will generate stable long-term sales? This set is another example of style over substance. I already own the BB CD and but I haven't owned a record player in years. I wouldn't have hesitated to

Quotedcba QuoteFather Ted Still 140 mins left.... Well there's a guy who just proved you can fill 6cd with basically 16 songs Seriously I'm sure there's enough worthy material to fill 5cd's. I do think a 5-cd version of B&Blue would be ok if it included the "find a new guitarist" tapes. Didn't The Beach Boys include like 30 takes of Good Vibratio

Quotedcba QuoteFather Ted Quotedcba EACH album between 68 and 81 should be re-released as a 5-cd box, much like what was done with Miles Davis discs. That's pretty ambitious - are there enough completed tracks to fill all those CDs? Well I'd include "first takes" "run throughs" and outtakes. You know, the genesis of each song we know. For example a LIB release

Quotestargroover Anybody else subscribe to Spotify? I use my son's account and actually really like it.It's a great way of hearing new stuff and reconnecting with stuff from the past. Presumably the artists get well paid for their stuff been on there. Disadvantages you don't actually own the music and don't get the details of the recordindgs, art work from disc or LP.

Quotedcba Imho the (unwritten) book of rock biz said "thou shall open your vaults only when you're band is nomore". Basically opening the vaults meant you were done as a band and the Stones stuck to that rule. Then Dylan (and Neil Young) broke that rule (as he broke many other rules before...) and Jagger warmed up to the idea of releasing archive material. But obviously gi

I'd buy a multi CD outtakes package. I'd love them to do a multi live CD set from the 1972 and 73 tours. Will that ever happen? Probably not. I think Jagger and Richard might even be offended - when you start scraping the barrel for outtakes, you're kind of saying you've got nothing new to offer and have given up.
