VL is average at best. My Dad said at the time that it didn't even sound like the Rolling Stones were playing on it. None of these tracks will ever be played live again (not that they appeared frequently back in 94/95). That's quite telling as to how the band view VL. 5/10.

QuoteIrix Looks like the whole Echoplex Club-Show (LA, 27-Apr-2013) was Pro-Shot filmed: Start Me Up - You Got Me Rocking / Respectable / She's So Cold - Nice find. Is this a trailer for a forthcoming release? (Can't watch, I;m at work)

By the middle of the year, the dust from the pandemic should have started to settle. So around June/JUly, maybe, we'll see some traction around finalising the album and thinking about touring in 2022. In the meantime, they keep us thinking about them with new vault stuff.

QuoteShootsWaterRats QuoteTornandfrayed Sadly, only the Texas & Philly runs were professionally recorded (7 shows in total). Tornandfrayed, I'm curious if you make this comment simply because those are the only professionally recorded '72 shows you've heard, or if you have definite confirmation that no other shows from the tour were recorded? Quote24FPS Just give us a great 'Rocks Off' live from '72. RO should have been added to L&G as a bonus song. I've listened to it on yoUtUbe and I can't hear any problems with it

So are they planning to re-release the shows from the BB box set individually as seperate, expanded shows?

Quotedcba Quote24FPS I would add the 1986 100 club gig memorial for Stu. The two song set from the NME Awards 1968. (Brian's last public stage appearance with the group) The rehearsals from 2012 with Bill and Mick Taylor. Toads Place 1989 (with better quality than the boot). Morgan's Cove 1981. No offense but from Mick's pov that's a nightmarish list : all the perf

There's surely enough '72 material to do a multi-show box set incl a disk with all the tour rarities that only got played once or twice? (Yes, I'm looking at you Don't Lie to Me).

If this goldmine was due for official release, I think the band is likely to get litigious very quickly.

It's not a bad package. I'd rate the tracks as 5-6/10 so far. Goodish but not great. Maybe they're testing the waters for a big anthology package? If anyone is listening at HQ - you need some more upbeat rockers. So far, it sounds a little MOR.

QuoteDoxa 3. Isn't the Japanese bootleg company supposedly releasing the stuff something created just for this project (that is, not heard before)? And, if I have understood right, releasing the actual CDs is now prevented/cancelled? Can the whole thing be just a hoax? But yeah, just trying to make some sense out of all this... But end up sounding like some damn conspirary theorist ha

Wembley from '82 is a similar big-head video from the screens. Gotta love that one for the She's So Cold train-wreck; one of their best live cock-ups!!!

QuoteDoxa QuoteFather Ted I could envisage them being part of more elaborate box set archive release...Not just CDs/vinyl but DVD too...now wouldn't that be a real treat? Yeah, and I wouldn't be surprised if there actually is some sort of 'bigger bang' to come since there is the 60th Anniversary lurking not far in future. They surely have plans to take care of that big t

Get it restored by a professional first. Preservation of the original tapes must be the priority. Then consider a release via an arthouse label who can do the film some justice. I don't think Eagle Rock would touch it.

QuoteDoxa Quotejahisnotdead QuotedeardoctorWell, you uploaded music you don't owe any copyrights.. The basic question as I see it is: Is this stuff planned for release or not? If so, when? It's been sitting in the vault for decades. Either it's stuff left on the cutting room floor and no different than garbage for them, or it's valuable property that they intend to sell some

I'll definitely buy this if they do an official release. The pandemic may well have generated a very strong business case to release this material earlier rather than later, especially if touring revenues are projected to be low to nil for the next year at least.

Quotedmay Interesting read on the live music business. It gets you to wondering if touring as we knew it can ever be done again. Considering how reckless some folks are here in the U-S regarding Covid and taking precautions, wearing a mask, etc., I wouldn't want to be in a venue and worrying about whether the people around me are safe to be near. It might be a few years, assuming no

QuoteGasLightStreet QuoteSilver Dagger Still have my Voodoo Lounge 94/95 official tour film on VHS. I wonder what that is worth now? From New Jersey? I've always wondered why that wasn't reissued. Never seen it. Is any of it on YouTube? A handful of the New Jersey tracks are included as bonuses on the VL Uncut release.

QuoteTaylor1 I was reading about a review of the 1972 Rubber Bowl concert and the author said the entire concert was shown on closed circuit screens while the concert was occurring.Does that mean there was a video recording of the show. I'm sure they've already released one concert which was originally filmed for the venue's CCTV system - it may have been the LA Forum show from 1

In the context of the Stones resuming touring as they did before - No. The problem will be with countries that have failed to control the virus or can't afford the vax. While the poorer countries aren't always part of the touring schedule, once you reopen international travel and trade, then you open up the possibility of reinfection. So is there a solution? One avenue would be to

QuoteStoneage Probably, but that is a minor concern of mine. Showbusiness goes on anyway. In other forms. In half a year or so things will gradually get back to normal. At least for most of us. Some things will have changed for ever though. There probably won't be much getting back to normal for a very long time. This pandemic has knocked over the global economic apple cart and jumped a

Quotedennycranium I think bands like the Stones, U2, Macca, Coldplay, etc will find a way to adapt. I'd love to see them play in an arena and broadcast it on Pay Per View. Charge a accordingly. I'd pay $30.00 to watch it. I'd like to see the band play 3-4 shows in one venue . We could get a varied set-list, each show. I think the band will like not having to travel around the worl
