I'll admit, it's the best of the Jagger solo stuff, and there is some strong songs on there....you've put it in my mind to dig it out again - like you it must 15 years since it had a spin

Yes, I've posted these sentiments previously, 'at the moment' is significant. Let's face it a publicist knows exactly how to word things and so to choose the words at the moment would indicate that there is any possibilities in another moment, which could be tomorrow for all we know and if that was the case then the original statement would still hold up....ahhhhh shit, I

I'd be really interested to hear if anyone has ever met any of the Stones face to face. I hope that before either I shuffle of this lump of rock I get the chance to shake Keith or Mick by the hand and just give a simple thank you for the immense amount of pleasure they have given. I guess it will never happen we can't all be Bill Germans - be we can dream. Bring on your anecdotes ple

This is an impressive array of stones coloured vinyl....I really hope vinyl makes a bigger come back, Nothing used to beat that feeling of buying an LP strtched sealed then getting it home and opening it up to find all the little extras you would sometimes get - posters, stickers (I still have my original Exile postcards!)and the smell of freshly pressed vinyl. Of course the flip side of this w

3157. Re: Keith
some excellent posts here...I'll add my bit; As a guitar player for some 30 years I can sympathise with Keith's predicament. He has played a million more hours than I'll ever play and I suffer with painful arthritis in my left hand fingers especially. Some days are worse than others depending on factors such as the cold and how much I've played. Magnify this by x30 and a

Quoteskipstone Define 'moment'. What is your interpretation of 'moment'. And why are people assuming that the reissue of Exile with whatever extra has anything to do with a tour? Even if they did tour and Exile did come out they'd still play the same 3 or moment as in the moment it is first given public airing = don't get me wrong I'm looking for a glimmer of

Brilliant...that Sgt Pepper must be worth a small fortune, hang on to that one. Yes Linda was a babe - great pair of legs....music was less impressive!

QuoteGazza Quotecrumbling_mice there are no plans for the band to tour in 2010 doesnt necessarily mean they wont do a festival - Glastonbury? They've SPECIFICALLY stated theyre NOT playing Glastonbury. Bugger! That's pissed on my chips....but, I was at the Rounhay Park, Leeds Uk gig (1981 I think) and that was announced as their very last show live - they even came on and toasted

there are no plans for the band to tour in 2010 doesnt necessarily mean they wont do a festival - Glastonbury? I know they generally dont do one offs if they aren't on tour, but times change and it would be a a help to Ron. Anyway here's hoping and just by good fortune I've got my ticket already!!!

I was trawling through my old vinyl collection the other day and found a couple of my old Stones LP's (showing my age here) I've got Let it Bleed in red vinyl and another kind of best of in green vinyl plus a poor sound quality picture disc....just wondered what anybody else has on coloured vinyl?

As a long time guitar player (who has stole everything I know from Keef) and a follower of the stones since 1976....I can assure you that Gimme Shelter is played in open E tuning on Let It Bleed, more often than not it was played in standard tuning live - but not always....Brussels 72 is open E or D. There is a distinct difference if you listen carefully, an open tuning has a different feel whic
