It's a sign of Cameron's vileness that Sir Mick turns him down.

They need to get in fast. If the Sons of The Beatles get in first then the Stones tour is dead in the water.

Quotemickscarey Quotestonescrow Was it not Sam Cutler that first challenged the Stones by giving them the title of 'The Greatest Rock 'N Roll Band In The World'? I say it's time for them to be challenged with the title of 'The Greatest Rock 'N Roll Band Of All Time'! I say they use that title for the 50th anniversary celebration! Time to stop being so humble, so

It's funny, when I started getting into the Beatles (mid 80s) Pepper was widely considered their best and regularly topped greatest album polls. I bought my first copy of Revolver on Christmas Eve 1985 and it seemed cold and harsh compared to other Beatle albums. But over the intervening years it has totally overtaken Pepper in both album polls and my own personal taste. It wasn't until

QuoteCousinC It's one of the few Stones books I somehow didn't buy (although a drummer myself). Nobody read it? And - by the way, has anybody read one of those Bios: Ginger Baker, Jack Bruce and Dick Heckstall-Smith?! Should be some Stones content in them . . I've read the Ginger Baker autobiog. Minor Stones references. But a great read.

QuoteGazza Alan Clayson is about the worst author I have ever read. His biogs are thinly researched and presented. In fact his Beatle books seem to consist of him griping about his subject and bemoaning the failure of others. Awful.

The bonus tracks could have been issued as a stand alone album. They are that good. The album did receive some TV promo around the time of its release. Adverts on Sky - not sure about ITV. There was also a fairly decent poster campaign around the London rail network.

I think the Stones would have respected his musical knowledge and versatility in the same way that the Beatles did. The relationship between the Beatles and Martin evolved between 62 and 69. It certainly wasn't a case of him dominating them - from 64 onwards nobody dominated the Beatles. George Martin could certainly have pulled great records out of the Stones. Whether or not he could have w
