We saw him two two weeks ago and the audience appreciated what he was doing; hell, we even applauded during the film clips (Madison loves films in general). He responded in kind, putting on an engaging performance and interacting with people who knew what was going on. Sure, he played warhorses, but he reworked the arrangements to put a new sheen on the songs (he's done that in the past as w

Quotestonesurvive ...............thanks George, I agree completely. I've been waiting for this subject. ...........I've found that IMO, usually the shirts with the tour dates have a couple of good ones. ............the bigger issue is plastering the tongue on merch for regional tour locations without any real thought (it's obvious the Stones have nothing to do with approving

There are some other great clubs in town, including The Hideout, Reggies. Empty Bottle, Cobra Lounge, Schubas and Beat Kitchen that lean more to the rock end of the music spectrum.

OK, the dust has settled (for the most part) on lucky dips and it looks like it was deep frying turkey for some. Huh? Well, to deep fry turkey, you need to prep a bit. Most important: measure your bird with water beforehand so you know how much (peanut) oil to use when you actually start this endeavor. If you don't, well, your neighbors will have stories to tell about "that guy." T

The Foos are great. First time we saw them was with Mike Watt and Hovercraft where they acquitted themselves well. We've seen them five times since and they never disappointed. Just good rock which tends to be in short supply these days.

We'll see him at the end of June for a makeup show. It sounds like Lisa Germano is back and, while Miriam was fine, LG brought these songs to life.

QuoteSpud back in the "olden days" it used to cost a similar amount of money to attend a concert as it did to buy an LP . So $25 or £25 would be about right . Are we supposed to be grateful because...just for a small number of events... we're not being fleeced ?P Performers make much less on product than they used to, so this isn't really a good analogy. That being said
