I wanted to make sure everyone here saw this great new poem. Enjoy. Cosmology, by Billy Collins COSMOLOGY By Billy Collins I never put much stock in that image of the earth resting on the backs of four elephants who are standing on the back of a sea turtle, who is in turn supported by an infinite regression of turtles disappearing into a bottomless forever. I mean how could you g

QuoteGrazidn I thought I would have lots of wonderful pictures to share with you being so close to the stage last night but that’s all I have. It was my first Rolling Stones concert, I’ve been waiting for this day for the last 15 years + 13 hours queuing under the rain, I just couldn’t stop singing, and jumping, and shouting, and crying, and clapping, and enjoying myself. I was so excited tha

Quotebuffalo7478 Quotemickjackett Can any local folks give me some travel advice? I'm coming from Buffalo around 4:30. Am I better off coming from the west by taking 62 to Big Tree Rd, or from the east and taking 219 to Big Tree Rd? I need to get to Abbot Rd from the south, since the north end will be closed by that time. Thanks. There will be less traffic coming from the west Thanks!

QuoteMore Hot Rocks Quotemickjackett Just saw a post on Twitter for a free Stones tribute band tonight at 10, The Lodge, 79 W Chippewa, Buffalo. Sponsored by Labatt. Giving away tickets and other prizes all night. I'll be in a Keith t-shirt. Go to this instead Sounds cool, but I'll be back in Port Jefferson on July 17.

Dean Goodman, will you be at Hammer's Lot before the show? I enjoy your reviews and I'd love to meet, have a beer, and chat Stones. I'll be with my dad and siblings in a white Toyota minivan, and I'll be wearing an Exile cover wraparound T-shirt. Hope to see you there (and everyone else!).

QuoteSomeTorontoGirl QuoteSomeTorontoGirl Anyone interested in carpooling from Toronto, please let me know. I don't plan to stay overnight - have tix to the CanAm games the following day. I can be reached at [email protected] These fellows left the concert completed sh*tfaced on beer, were stumbling, missed our meeting place, were somewhat inarticulate and, since I was sobe

Is Hammer taking reservations for the lot? I want to guarantee a spot because I'll be there with my 72-year-old father (who is not Mick Jagger) and I don't want him to have to walk far. Plus, I don't want to miss out on the IORR party if the lot fills up with casual fans before I get there.

Sorry, this ticket has been sold, but I can't see any way to delete the post. I hope to see everyone in Hammer's Lot! Enjoy the show! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have one extra for Buffalo. Section 333, row 19, seat 16. Face value for IORRers, $120 with fees, or best offer. I will be at the show and can walk in with

Quoteerbissell And honestly I don't give a shit...Kid Rock and Ted Nugent both rock. You don't hear conservatives bashing Springsteen, they go to his concerts and rock just the same, regardless of political views. I am still confused why liberals find the need to bash guys like Kid Rock, Nuge, Hank Jr, etc. just for their different views and practices. If anyone cares where I sta

Scored 8 in section 333 at Ralph Wilson Stadium, Buffalo, using the TM app on my phone. I also had the iPad and desktop computer going. Website offered 4, also in upper level, but I had already bought the 8 using the app. $119 each. There are plenty on StubHub just slightly over face value, $130s-140s. My view looks pretty good. Stones will be in right endzone.

Can anyone explain why there are already tickets on StubHub? Are these tickets given to employees or something? Are these brokers trying to sell tickets they don't yet possess? Also, the cheapest, a-mile-from-the-stage seats in Buffalo were listed at $229. Is this the best we can do? Are the $77 tickets listed on Ticketmaster a cruel joke? For a big stadium like this, do you think under $

Kid Rock is one of the least talented schmoes the music industry has ever foisted on us. Has anyone read the new novel Sway, by Zachary Lazar? It concerns the intertwining of Mick, Keith, and Brian with a guy named Bobby who did the Manson murders, and a film director named Kenneth Anger, who directed a film in which Mick and this Bobby appeared. I'm about halfway through, and it's pretty good so far. The Manson and Anger parts are appropriately disturbing, and so far I
