Quotedonvis What is the teenage Russian hooker story??? It's a reference to Kat (the young woman Ronnie left Jo for). Her age and her true profession are the subject of tabloid speculation. Most sources say she was legal and a cocktail waitress. Others suggest she was really younger and a prostitute. Ana, who was in between Kat and Sally, was portrayed as a high-priced escort by some. Not pretending they're good people all the time or anything, but the thing is has anyone here ever been treated like you were semi-divine? I'm not talking about one day, but every day by everyone you meet? After awhile you start to believe it to an extent. Even if you don't become a raging maniac, you take what's offered your way because it's there and people are willing

When Ray talks about a Kinks reunion while not promoting a solo project or a new Kinks reissue, I'll perk up. Until then, it's just what Ray does to get a headline. I don't blame him, but I've stopped believing it might happen.

You're very correct, 35love and my apologies to Hairball. I have a good friend in hospice right now. He's only 50 years old. I've been visiting every day and it wears you down. No excuse for my bad behavior, though. As for you liking both money and sex, 35love, that makes me happy. I wish you nothing but the best. And the same to Hairball who writes with great passion and humor

So playing a small venue is nothing to them? Interesting. I'll never understand the "everything belongs to the people, everything should be free" contingent. The Stones have been out of my price range for a long time. Put more honestly, I've chosen not to see them since 2002. My choice. I'm happy to get CDs and DVDs. I'm happy for those who go see them. Those are

jaggerman is no troll. Nothing wrong with speculation. It's a question worth posing at this juncture with the band considering a North American tour. I say this with all respect, plexi, only because I think you misjudged his intent.

QuoteLeonioid People who think the Stones only perform live only for the money just dont get it. Of course the money is nice for playing live gigs, of course it is part of the motivation... but it is about more than just money... The strangest thing of all to me is we're all fans of the greatest rock band in history. If you had their talent and their legacy, wouldn't you expect to

Politics are meaningless here. Aerosmith are registered Republicans. Trump has identified as Independent, Democrat, and Republican all in recent years. Forget labels. That's not what makes a person. As to this, I would be surprised if the Stones were physically able (or at least insured) to perform every night. Mick's voice, Keith's arthritis, and Charlie's back make me su

Yeah, I am curious what happened to it. I wondered if we would have heard things like "Thief in the Night" with Mick on lead vocals or "You Don't Have To Mean It" done Tex-Mex style. The problem of course is anyone who works with them describes these lost tracks as "amazing." It's hard to know what is just being star-struck or a yes-man and what truly was a

BTW, since I'm digging up old memories. This was the same time - late 1999/early 2000 that I kept hearing Mick was writing another album but hadn't decided if it was going to be a Stones album or solo album. Cohl was allegedly pushing for a tour in 2001 which would have made it a Stones album had his idea worked. At the time, I didn't understand how Mick (as opposed to Mick and Kei

It happened before here which I understand since my news isn't quite what Bjornulf heard and he is certainly more connected. My source was a guy at TransWorld Entertainment Corporation where I used to work in the 1990s. They owned music and video retail chains in the States. I was told the MEMORY HOTEL title was a mistake by EMI that it was supposed to be MEMORY MOTEL like the song and t

BEYOND THE GROOVE was actually an odd short-lived TV series. A 30 minute format. Only 6 episodes were produced. It was really just a series of music videos strung loosely together by a narrative of David Rappaport taking a road trip. The version of "Memory Motel" used had been cut for PRIMITIVE COOL. A version of "Fool To Cry" was also recorded but has never surfaced. As f

In recent years, fans have noted that the first few songs feature backing vocals when Bernard isn't on state. That's Charlie singing. And if you truly want to hear Charlie sing, buy his solo albums.

You wouldn't think so by the time they played the Olympia in Paris or Twickenham in London the following year. Compare "If You Can't Rock Me" or "Don't Stop" here to Madison Square Garden in 2003 and you'll see they're just rusty. Best of all compare "Stray Cat Blues" here to the Olympia version which is just about as good as they could get a

I've never been impressed with Ted as a guitarist or showman, but I detest him because of his obnoxious expression of his politics and views on animals. Tyler and Perry are conservatives, but they are not obnoxious or disrespectful to others. Roger Waters (someone whose views I used to agree with in the past) eventually became unbearable to me as well from the other side of the spectrum.

Well, the song "Goddess in the Doorway," if you can get past the dreadful sub-Cher/Madonna techno dance music that Matt Clifford crafted, has an interesting lyric about the pursuit of a Muse and how it relates to Jagger's womanizing. Listening to Mick's rhythm guitar on the track also convinces me there might have been something much more interesting made of the tune. Howe

I'm not agreeing with him, keefriffhard4life. I just understand that Mr. President isn't confused. Rather he enjoys being willfully ignorant of the point others were trying to make. And I'd say, yes it's still the Stones obviously. I'd say yes, Aerosmith never broke up. The reunion was of the classic line up but 3/5 of the band never left including the front man. I
