I didn't mean you. I meant the video. I've been suckered by these more than once. What's promised is never delivered.

Unfortunately, just clickbait. Any video that ends with "the answer will shock you" or a variant is a guarantee there is zero content worth watching unless you have a fondness for computer narration.

What next? Why did Bill remove himself from the cover of RARITIES? Why are there only four thermographic photos on the cover of EMOTIONAL RESCUE? What does it all mean?

Mathijs, my use of the expression "ceasefire of hostilities" referred to the back and forth between the two of you and not any accusations made by one party. Both of you please let it go and just be the two brilliant, passionate, articulate individuals you are and let IORRians enjoy the both of you for your valued contributions.

I love posts by His Majesty and posts by Mathijs. They both have helped make IORR the best Stones resource online. Can we please get a ceasefire in the hostilities so both can share their knowledge and passion here without forcing us into picking sides?

Our loss if you leave IORR. It's not just Brian. There are always fans with agendas. Down with Mick. Down with Keith (rare, but it's around all the same). Down with Ronnie because he's not Taylor. Down with Darryl because he's not Bill. Down with Chuck because he plinks. Down with Matt because of the tambourine close-up during "Brown Sugar" (okay, that's jus

Agreed, best ongoing thread on the site. Ignore people you don't agree with and please just continue posting your work.

I've known for decades that the Stones were a bar band made good. They make no attempt to hide that fact. It's the chemistry and feel they bring when they're at their best that makes all the difference. Mathijs and Doxa and Bard (to name three) consistently write posts that I find absolutely fascinating and learn a great deal from. It doesn't matter if I don't agree 100%

Please forgive my trivial humor. This is my favorite thread on IORR at present and I don't mean to detract from it.

QuoteTaylor1 It seems with any song where Keith is not the primary creator you don’t have good things to say about it Clearly you've never seen Bard go on about how much he loves "Too Much Blood." It's the one time I question why I still send him Christmas cards.

QuoteDoxa QuoteHis Majesty I can't imagine Brian in 1974. Most likely he had by then founded a band with Jimi Hendrix and having Jim Morrison or Janis Joplin do the vocals... - Doxa Thereby preventing The Righteous Brothers from recording "Rock 'n' Roll Heaven." Sheer genius. You need a time machine.

Just a quick thank you to His Majesty. Threads like this are what I truly love about IORR. All the best with your book.

If, for the sake of argument, Brian was murdered over money (as many murder victims are), and there was some way of proving it rather than simply believing it to be true, I really wouldn't care. Most people, if they're honest, have done some pretty rotten things in their life. They steal (maybe only small or just stealing time from their employer), they cheat, they lie. The Ston

Personally, I'm less concerned with the burden of proof than being entertained. If Paul tells me a load of stories about Brian and suggests that the band or those around them behaved like The Corleone Family, I'm interested because it's entertaining. It's the last chance for a shadowy mystique of darkness and danger for a band that most here deride as a Vegas act. If Mathi

Interesting. I'm guessing Louis Courts from Jaiko is the son of David Courts who designed Keith's skull ring given that he's Alexandra's age and their families have known one another since the 1970s.

Defining the "x" factor for an artist or band is elusive at best. Excellent work, treacle.

I fall into the category of concerned and worried. Our oldest girl and her family moved back to Ohio from Florida this summer. Her big brother is still in the Tampa area with other family. Some people choose not to leave despite warnings. Others do not have the ability to leave.

It is. It's a 2022 three-song set. They did the same in 2018 and 2015, but this was the only performance of the three where they were billed as The X-Pensive Winos since 1993.

QuoteMathijs Nope, we don't know for sure. They tried out several pianists, Ian McLagan came very late to the rehearsals and these recordings are from fairly early on. This player certainly isn't McLagan or Stu. Nico Zentgraf mentions Bernard Harvey, and also Chuck Leavell is mentioned to have joined for a day. Mathijs That was 1981, not 1978.

I love Flip the Switch. Could the lyrics be a bit stronger? Sure, but some of them still bring a smile for the right reasons. I love Anybody Seen My Baby? or at least the No Biz edit. Lyrically, it meanders a bit, but it's a great groove. I swear there's a drum sample on there that isn't Charlie. I want to like Low Down, but it sounds unfinished. It works as filler, but I wa

Whether it comes out by the holidays or not, Soldatti's info from UMG was that Mick was in the studio earlier this year recording overdubs for another reissue. It's possible it was for the unfinished album cut with Andy Watt alongside HACKNEY DIAMONDS or it could be what Soldatti was told, still another reissue of older material. Since the UMG contract called for five reissues and we

For me, this is one that got away. I love the bootlegs. I don't care for the 2021 version. Now "It's a Lie" came together nicely. As for finishing "Munich Hilton," listen closely to "Nobody's Perfect" - the DIRTY WORK outtake that surfaced on FULLY FINISHED OUTTAKES (though most aren't quite finished and this one is no exception).
