There are precious few chances to reference that song in life. Beggars can't be choosers. Especially when you consider the paucity of the Golden Anniversary Banquet they served up for us.

I gave you 10 songs and half are hits and half are deep cuts and they note the versions and their superiority over all other live releases. But I agree, the fault is yours.

Now that's more like it. We prefer Ian with a sense of humor. If the new album was crowd-funded, I'd be right there with you. Otherwise, I leave the outrage to Universal. At this stage, Don and Universal might prefer if they didn't have to deal with the Ego Twins as well. I don't know for certain, of course, but I suspect it's more a reluctance to let go of what will almo

What the @#$%& is Mick Jagger doing eating at a restaurant? Get in the studio and work, damn you, you lazy old @#$%&. You're right, Ian, I do feel better now. Thanks.

Really, I think that's what everyone thinks of when they think of a Mick autobiography...will he talk about the other "jaded, faded junkie nurse" who kept Brian company? Seriously, maybe he thought the person who found Brian's body and was a medical professional by trade would be critical to have at the inquest and more likely to be less emotional than fellow nurse Anna Wohlin

I would remove that unless you want your friend cut off. The whole purpose of sources, whether they're being fed good info or bad, is they be protected. Enough of us have a pretty good idea of who that individual is. You don't need them getting slapped down because someone was unwise enough to ask who is your source for insider information.

Anyone buying SET LISTS gets what they paid for. THE WORKS remains a good read. Great anecdotes and great art. A fun book. RONNIE isn't so good. The early chapters on his water gypsy childhood were the best part. The co-writer's hand is too obvious (mistaking the band Organized Kryme for an early incarnation of The Xpensive Winos, for instance), but the bits with Rod - especially the sh

Well neither Glimmer Twin has ever apologized publicly for their behavior. Not Mick when interviewers attempted to shame him for his womanizing. Not Keith over his addictions either. I'm not suggesting they should start. I was just giving my two cents on idolizing Keith for the wrong reasons. It's dangerous and has hurt many. Who here who has had a problem with addiction or even dabbled

As for why is Mick at 75 doing another movie? It's the same reason why he does projects like SUPERHEAVY. It keeps him in the public eye and may reach an audience that wouldn't otherwise have him on their radar. I suspect many of Mick's extracurricular activities are for the purpose of reaching outside the Stones circle in an attempt to broaden appeal and generate awareness. Whe

It's all subjective, but I think he's terrific in PERFORMANCE and THE MAN FROM ELYSIAN FIELDS. He was miscast as NED KELLY and is awful in FREEJACK. He was fine in BENT. I was sorry he didn't include "Streets of Berlin" on his solo anthology. RUNNING OUT OF LUCK is very hit and miss. Not much of a movie. Some good bits, but other times he and Jerry seem very uncomfortable

Well thanks for sharing the set photo. Mick's movie performances run very much to extremes so we'll see where this one falls on the scale.

I don't know, I sort of look forward to reading Ian's elder abuse posts. I like to think of him sending them back into the studio bruised, but having learned their lesson about what is and isn't acceptable to a true fan. It helps keep things real.

Just an opinion of course, but I think Keith was lucky rather than in control. A bit like the guy who beats the odds and wins a huge lottery jackpot twice. I think the glamorization of Keith the junkie led to so many other casualties, including countless fans that he never met. I'm not saying he's responsible for anyone else's actions, but I think it dangerous to set him up as a he

The 12 minute version prominently featuring Keith's vocals in the mix is from the 12" dub mix. It's on the official CD reissue of TROUBLEMAKER re-titled HERE COMES TROUBLE that was released by Maniac Records in 2005.

QuoteHairball A continuation of the No Filter Tour? Not a brand new tour with a different name? Some have dismissed it as baseless speculation, but it's been out there for awhile that NO FILTER was intended as the album title when it was hoped the album would be ready for 2017 release. If the stage is staying and the tour name isn't changing, it's still a very real possibility i

I used the word because most interviews tend to make for bland reading or listening as people are guarded in their responses. Chuck's recent podcast is a perfect example. I've heard and read other Darryl interviews and he likewise usually plays it safe in his responses. This was a relaxed conversation and consequently seemed more honest and interesting.

"One last thing: The Rolling Stones are purported to be in the planning stages for a continuation of the No Filter tour in early 2019. This leg of the tour will be taking place in the USA, the cities have not been announced yet. You heard it here first!" Surprisingly good interview. Thanks for sharing!

"They’re all playing bass now. Mick played bass on something on A Bigger Bang, I think. They all play bass on stuff. I’ll come in and they’ll say, ‘We need you to play on four tracks or five tracks and oh, hey, check out the one that I played bass on.’ I think the way Keith and Ronnie play the guitar is kind of based on the bass, or based on the root. You know what I mean? Obviously, they a

“There’s been some work done on the new album, but I think they’re just gonna require a little bit more. I haven’t heard anything more about when that’s gonna happen, but yeah, you know, I think they should finish, there’s some good stuff there.” I suggest to Jones that many fans actually want the band to shelve the new album and put together a follow-up to Blue and Lonesome, to which he repli

"As Darryl explained to me when I asked if he has to deal with those comparisons to Bill Wyman, he responded, “No, not that much, man. And to be honest, I’m told that there are sites and places where people may be a little bit more critical of what I’m playing and say, ‘That’s not what Wyman played!’ but I don’t really encounter that kind of stuff. I’m not a review reader."

The title track was my first Stones single, but TATTOO YOU was my first LP. As for the title song live, the LA version where Mick keeps stepping in time with the beat through the entire song is my favorite version.

Quote35love 1,000 years ago b4 the internet, I owned every Audrey Hepburn movie on VHS, and I think Patti is magnificent in the NY movie ‘They All Laughed’ Stunning—— I think she was playing her taxi driver role as Keith some of the time. A bit like how Jerry took on Mick's mannerisms during some of her interviews in the 1980s.
