QuoteBitchKeepsBitchin Politics is ruining this thread. Many countries are represented here, not only the USA. People around the world are suffering and it isnt fair to blame the politicians. They aren't Doctors. They are dealing with it as best they can and trying whatever seems right. The virus information changes daily as we learn more about it. So give it a break. You're not bit

Goya's paranoias have had him thinking there since UNDERCOVER. The first time Jerry sidled up to a wealthier older man, Mick seemed to regain a political focus and a distinctly Latin-tinged one at that. Bianca should have been proud. It seemed to happen again post-Jerry on A BIGGER BANG, too. Interesting to speculate.

QuoteNikkei QuoteRocky Dijon I know a guy who is a big Stones fan but hates Keith's voice and the slow songs he sings. He thinks the Keith vocal spotlights on albums and in concert are Keith trying to keep his solo identity going within the Stones and believes it drags the band down. No way I'm on board with that but he does have a point The guy isn't exactly my favorite perso

QuoteHairball QuoteTeddyB1018 Krish Sharma. Ahh yeah - I think I recall him working with Mick and/or the Stones a couple of years ago on something... Krishna was an Assistant Engineer on VOODOO LOUNGE and Chief Recording Engineer on A BIGGER BANG, the re-done EXILE and SOME GIRLS overdubs, and the two new tracks on GRRR. He also recorded and mixed BLUE AND LONESOME (his first mixing credit w

Quotekeithsman Yeah very well spotted, i haven't got your ear for detail but there is a lot of Keith in this song. What makes me laugh is when people say it's a Mick song or its a Keith song, they forget just how similar Mick and Keith can be musically, for all their differences they actually are very similar and sometimes it's surprised me when I've thought that's de

Quotegeorgelicks There's two versions of the song, one is the video which clocks at 3:48 with a few edits during the last minute after the harmonica solo and the other one clocks at 4:08 on Spotify. The video cuts out the second rapped/spoken section that sounds like Mick's additions to "One More Shot" ['spare me crucifixion / in your jurisdiction'].

Note to "self" by Rocky Dijon : "delete contact info of the insider who told me that the news of the single was rubbish" ;-) Already said that to Dandy and Rockman in private messag

I want this to be true. I reached out and was told the news is rubbish. Deathgod seems reasonably sure this is legit and Soldatti seems to think it's plausible. Wait and see, I suppose. It's always nice to be wrong where these things are concerned.

Time out. Eddie isn't a hateful person. He's stressed out over a serious situation. People say things or imply things when they're stressed they wouldn't generally voice. Don't take it to heart. The United States covers so much territory and so many people that generalizations rarely apply. If you respect the president, wonderful for you. If you dislike the president,

Quotejbwelda My buddy Mike Cacia and his frontman Earl Chin had the bearded twins on their Rockers TV show in NYC...and they had to cut the hell out of it because both of them had very visible dandruff in the strangest places...I didn't know nose and beard hairs would have white dandruff like that. I have the outtakes from that on VHS somewhere and they are hilarious, two hours cut down to a

Quotejbwelda Perhaps the most un-fitting title for a song and the most pretentious prattle from Mick in it. No wonder this one sits in the can. jb If you mean Mick pontificating that "the problem of all religions is religiousness" or specifically "the problem of Christianity is that it's Christian," consider it a dry run for the opening of "Send It To Me,"

Sorry, I'm still not entirely clear. Are you questioning why there are multiple publishers for the songs? Usually that signifies the rights were administered by different publishers for different regions or that the publisher assigned all administrative rights to a separate publisher. You mention ownership. The copyright in the recordings is held or owned by ABKCO Records or Promotone as

That is correct. "Sister Morphine" is an outtake from LET IT BLEED. Cut in February 1969. "Brown Sugar," "Wild Horses," and "You Gotta Move" are from Muscle Shoals in December 1969. First version of "Dead Flowers" was cut in December 1969 in London. The album version along with "Bitch," "Can't You Hear Me Knocking,"

The entire album contains really excellent playing. Much of it has a 1970s sound and it's not all Stonesish, though their influence certainly shows. A good eclectic release. When I listened to "End of the Line" last night, I realized I imagined that's close to what "Tell the Truth" must sound like in its entirety. Time will tell. Bard, stay positive and keep grow

QuoteTravelinMan I hope they include it either way, get Taylor some songwriting credit. On a related note, Ronnie actually gets songwriting royalties for two tracks on SOME GIRLS DELUXE while the sleeve only credits him for "When You're Gone." BMI shows he is also credited as a co-writer on "Do You Think I Really Care?"

QuoteDiamondDog7 Let's keep Separatly instrumental. Such a beautiful track. Too late. Taylor already wrote and added lyrics and vocals in the 1990s for his solo release of the song.

For me, Mickboy's work was interesting. There were some SM titles I thought were terrific, some not. I didn't have a problem with Cool Cool Hand myself. There were labels like Swingin' Pig, Vigotone, Sister Morphine, Invasion Unlimited, and several others that I sought out actively in those days.

Yes, they have money to minimize repercussions of their actions. Just like Keith. Just like Mick. Just like Bill. Just like Ronnie. And on and on. They're all nice people unless you or someone you know were wronged by them. They're also like most everyone - complex people. They're gifted, engaging, and sometimes do things that are immoral and illegal. Yes, they have the clout t

I was being sarcastic to an extent. I understand others feeling there are no more Brian conspiracies to consider or stories to tell, but to not discuss Brian is to pretend he didn't matter. Brian's death is a bit like JFK. It either went down as the official story says or it's on a larger scale and you'd be foolish to get too close to questioning the truth. I would rather disc
