QuoteDoxa Everyone (with sanity) knows something happened back then that is no way acceptable nowadays (forget the macho men living in the past loving to hate anything modern). Cheers!

QuoteLorenzAgain Did bv ban everyone or what happened I get the fact that we're all interested in hearing the album as soon as possible, but just like Polydor and Geffen attorneys removing the leaked video from WeTransfer and YouTube, they also would come down on this site. No one needs that kind of grief, especially when the website is just a passion project and not monetized. It's

Quotebig4 It seems Was lost the ability to get consensus between Mick & Keith, getting them to agree on songs. Even Ghost Town in 2020 has Clifford as a co-producer a song that came from from their last sessions with Was in 2019. Don Was has largely dialed back on producing to concentrate on running the revived Blue Note label. His downtime is spent playing bass on passion projects. He expr

Quoteschwonek Be careful please. "Please do not post offending or negative about individuals, or about IORR as a community, here on IORR, or on other sites. Segregation and negativity will not be accepted." It was a line from the new Indiana Jones movie.

Quotedoitywoik It's somehow sad (and likewise telling) that quite obviously Ronnie is not considered a songwriting partner. Agreed. It's like it just isn't 1985 any more. I don't know what happened.

QuoteDoxa The billboards on the video are like living reminders or testimonies of 'see, this hot hot we once we were, like everybody at the time, don't blame us'. The sexy lady on a car giving us the same impression, and very strongly. Don't Get Angry With Me... So damn clever.. No real apologies, but still admitting, yeah, we did wrong... You gave me a new appreciation

"Angry" has grown on me. It takes me awhile to get over my old fart mentality. What first struck me as nasal in "And I want to know why-I-I-I" then clicked that it's Mick incorporating a bit of Indian influence and wailing in the middle of a pop rock song. What first seemed like the unmistakable contribution of Andrew Watt and sounded autotuned and nothing like my Rolling

QuoteCristiano Radtke There's some rumours about concerts in Brazil in March 2024. Check out the billboard near the end of the "Angry" video. They're off to Brazil.

Hopefully that's the case. The other possibility is the funk tune uses a rhythm track programmed by Matt Clifford.

I very much doubt the truth of that statement. Why would the director plan to have a name actress just sit there? This is P.R. deflecting sensitivity issues by empowering the actress. It's like the outrage that greeted the video for "Criss Cross" in some quarters until it was determined it wasn't a case of "male gaze" on the director's part and then it was a pos

Our loss if you leave IORR. It's not just Brian. There are always fans with agendas. Down with Mick. Down with Keith (rare, but it's around all the same). Down with Ronnie because he's not Taylor. Down with Darryl because he's not Bill. Down with Chuck because he plinks. Down with Matt because of the tambourine close-up during "Brown Sugar" (okay, that's jus

QuoteLeonidP On Fallon? Or elsewhere? All I recall on Fallon was the mention that they recorded 23 tracks, but there was never any mention of a 2nd album From the Fallon transcript: MJ: "Let's set a deadline. Let's make a record and set a deadline". Keith, me and Ronnie talked it over and said, 'OK, let's make this album for Christmas and get it done by Valenti

Ronnie continually stated there will be a second album from the sessions to follow. If there are any non-album B-sides on singles or special editions, it's likely to be from the 2015-2018 sessions with Don Was.

I dealt with Tony offline a few years ago. He was very pleasant and professional, but he will not budge on his mandate that it is a trade offer only. Give him something that doesn't circulate openly and you g

It seems like the only way that would happen is if it is just a lyric video. They spent a great deal on the "Angry" video and on showcasing it. I highly doubt they'll give us another major single and music video before the album drops.

I've known for decades that the Stones were a bar band made good. They make no attempt to hide that fact. It's the chemistry and feel they bring when they're at their best that makes all the difference. Mathijs and Doxa and Bard (to name three) consistently write posts that I find absolutely fascinating and learn a great deal from. It doesn't matter if I don't agree 100%

QuoteKurt When was the last time someone besides Jagger Richards got a writing credit? Has ANY producer ever received a writing credit? Mick Taylor and Ronnie Wood have had co-writing credits on the expanded reissues over the past dozen years. Before that, Steve Jordan had a co-writing credit on "One More Shot." Andrew Oldham had co-writing credits on "As Tears Go By"

Quotehowlingmad Yes, Fallon may not be anyone's first choice for this kind of thing, but it's clear he helped put the band at ease which led to a lot of good lines. I also can't see any other host getting Mick to start singing "Off The Hook"! That reminded me of when Dennis Miller got them to sing a bit of "Parachute Woman" back in the 1990s. These things a

QuoteMisterDDDD The boys do best with someone they like and being able to make funny quips. Not the host's fault for the topics off limits, like a tour etc. They were fairly relaxed and had some really good comedic jabs at each other. Gotta give some credit to Fallon for that, and ended up a very successful event for the band imo. Keith: "You've never been in a church in yo

QuoteHopiman I can't help but think: what would Charlie have said to this? Probably the same thing he said twenty years ago about the topless anime girl with the Sprint symbol piercing the lapping tongue she rides. He loved it and thought it had meaning.
