What Soldatti had said is we should expect additional tracks to be parsed out between deluxe edition, retailer exclusives, iTunes exclusive, etc. It's not surprising additional bonus tracks are not registered with ASCAP yet. "Under the Radar," "Don't Wanna Go Home," and "Hurricane" all came out within weeks of A BIGGER BANG, but their registration wasn'

A highlight of Mick's first ever tour was sharing the bill with Bo Diddley. 31 years later, Bo shared the stage with them to play his classic "Who Do You Love." The pay-per-view special was even titled HOODOO U VOODOO. 18 years later, they played the song with The Black Keys for the 50 AND COUNTING pay-per-view special. Mick told the audience it was a song he didn't think he&#

QuoteMabru I am really curious if it’s an album with only Charlie or also with Steve Jordan or a mix. I also read earlier something about a double album one disc Charlie and one disc with Steve. I can’t wait for the announcement and hear all the new songs It's both Charlie and Steve and it's not two discs. That was speculation only. ASCAP shows 11 or 12 new compositions for the al

Quotemkbbcmr "Morning Joe Cues" must be about the insanity of current American politics , "Morning Joe" being the daily news show on MSNBC. ASCAP also lists Keith and Paul Shaffer as composers of "Friday Night Videos Cues." It's possible this is just from MSNBC's show coming in and out of commercials and not an actual album track.

QuoteBlueranger Sorry to say it: GET A LIFE! It's a message board for a rock band that started over 60 years ago. Most of the posts are by regulars who visit daily. If you're going to quote Shatner, it would apply to every single one of us. Fans, like collectors, are a breed apart. They can't just like something. They analyze it to death. They can't just be happy with greate

Quotebig4 I had a boot called Unreleased Decca Live Album that had that running list. Who knows if that really was the planned album? A standard bootlegged soundboard of a 1972 show wouldn't lead off with YCAGWYW and deliberately omit songs that were on YA-YA'S. Whether it was the final version of the album before it was scrapped, I couldn't say definitively, but it's a li

As far as I know there was the master which was leaked to radio and there was a mock-up of the cover art, but nothing manufactured. The drama of stopping it just before it shipped is likely just a good story.

Hearing that Mick doesn't want to hear Keith in his monitor mix isn't a shock. He's been tuned to Chuck for decades. It's also what I dislike about several of the From the Archives mixes. Keith seems mixed down to the point where it can only be deliberate.

I don't understand the big deal about Paul playing bass. He's not co-writing or singing a duet. The same with Elton playing piano. It's the last Stones album and some old friends wanted to sit in. That's normal. Do you think Mick is going to announce them on the song? "And now, bass solo by Paul McCartney! Give it up for Macca!"

Quoteharlem shuffle Why do they have to give credit to Steve?Just because he is a friend of Keith? You think co-writing credits on "Almost Hear You Sigh" and "One More Shot" were tokens of friendship? They write together. Mick and Keith worked on "Living in a Ghost Town" with Steve at Germano Studios. It isn't a shock to think he might have a producer or pre-p

The Keith-Andrew Watt clash, though plausible, is only rumor or speculation. It is interesting that there are no Matt Clifford or Steve Jordan writing credits. I'll be curious to see if there is any sort of arrangement or production credit for them.

QuoteThe Joker Still... Mrs or Mr Judgmental, referee of emotions and broken English You must be very powerful I get feeling like you were picked on. GasLight has spoken on the board more than once of having lost his wife a few years ago. Seen from that perspective, responding from a place of genuine grief where you lost someone you loved who also loved you is very different from missing you

QuoteVoodooLounge13 I love our varied tastes on here!!! For me, OMS is the better of the two. In fact, it's one of my very favorite latter-day Stones tracks!!! It's even on my overall favorite Stones tracks playlist!!! I love the backing track though it's highly derivative of past work. The lyrics are the let down. "Spare me regurgitation, in refrigeration. Not at all, only VOODOO LOUNGE, STRIPPED, BRIDGES TO BABYLON, FOUR NEW LICKS, LIVE LICKS, A BIGGER BANG, EXILE RARITIES, SOME GIRLS RARITIES, two new tracks for GRRR, STICKY FINGERS RARITIES, BLUE AND LONESOME, Living in a Ghost Town, and half of HACKNEYED DIAMONDS, so basically nothing.

QuoteHairball In all honesty though, it's not really that bad...not as bad as Lets Work anyways. It's just a snippet, so it's difficult to judge, and maybe that segment was completely edited out of the finished tune... lol It's a bit like judging "Brown Sugar" on the snippet of Mick playing guitar to Ike and Tina backstage at Madison Square Garden.

QuoteMore Hot Rocks There’s nothing wrong with them. Quit complaining Geez While true, that's par for the course. The best thing about the message board is when you learn something that makes you appreciate songs you've lived with for decades even more. For me, it's usually threads about Brian or learning what was played by Keith or Mick Taylor. Sometimes you're lucky enough

Agree. Why, why would they possibly market their music to reach every potential customer? We who have everything do not need these so they shouldn't try to reach those who actually watch things like this unless they want us to complain.

And you may ask yourself, "Am I right? Am I wrong?" Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water, Hairball reels me back in by being funny and witty and making me think all the times any
