No offense, but none of those examples were with the Rolling Stones. I don't want to argue this age-old dilema, but as a guitar player myself, Taylor's playing comes from a very special place. Again, I'll give another example, "Shine a Light". His solo-ing doesn't take over the song but folds right into it. It's hard to find a player who has that special s

Yea, Taylor had/has that special feeling that very few people that pick up a guitar ever get. Like I said, the Stones, and their fans, should feel lucky to have those records he made with the band.

I know Wood fans take it hard when Taylor fans start flaring up. But after hearing "Rough Justice", and the slide guitar playing, I have to say it's nice to hear some of that old style, but it's not anyting close to Taylor's ability. One only has to go back and listen to the work Taylor did on "Sister Morphine" to appreciate the beauty of his slide work. His s

What difference does it make if you hear it now or later? With the internet available, I'd rather hear the MP3 before I go out and unload 19 bucks for the record. SOL, is a bad song. I'm glad I heard it courtesy of the internet first. RJ is somewhat refreshing but still not reason enough to get too excited. Unfortunetly these aren't the day's of vinyl. I remember waiting and

Doesn't SOL also stand for "Sh*t out of Luck"?

Don't get me started on the whole "Caddyshack" thing. Really though, there's nothing more fun, when your 17, then taking some acid and running lose on a prestigious golf course in snobby ol' Connecticut while listening to the RS. I often wondered why then didn't have hot wire fences to keep the likes of me and my friends away. Probably b/c we were Daddy's Cadd

My Polish friend Kowalski and I, back in High School, use to listen to "Aftermath" with split headphones on a Walkman. We would get high and cruise around the golf course at the Country Club in Connecticut late at night. He turned me on to Bob Marley and I turned him onto the Stones. Both of us had no idea how great the two artist's were. "Going Home" was always the highl

What I don't understand is how people can expect a bunch of guys pushing 70 to come out with "ground breaking" music. Those days are over. Enjoy the catalog of the Rolling Stones. The music they are releasing now feels more like an obligation than inspiration. That's just me though. My brother bought me "Made in the Shade when I was 13-years-old, in 1978. I heard that son

All I know is that if Keith is going to sing "Before they make me Run", I am not leaving the building. Argueably the best Stones line in any song, "Wasn't looking too good, but I was feelin' real well". How could a real Stones fan walk out on that?

Don't you think SOL sounds more like Brian Adams than the Rolling Stones?

I think the biggest story of the release of these songs is how bad "Streets of Love" is. It's so watered down and cliche'. What's the deal?

Is there any other Stones actually playing on Streets of Love? It just doesn't even sound like the Stones at all. The guitar solo is terrible. The production is hard to stomach.

It's funny that someone mentioned "Taylorheads". When I first heard Rough Justice I thought of Exile of Main St. The slide is very reminiscent of that record. Kind of an "All down the Line" sound. Nice to hear.

He looks fine to me. What's the problem? He's smiling, waving, talking on his cell. It doesn't look as though Mick has had any work done (surgically) on his body. A lot of people with his money and exposure would have had those wrinkles ironed out years ago. I say he looks great.

I personally like his playing on Loving Cup. Great photo by the way. I also liked the way MJ introduced Stu during the show. It was obvious he was a very important part of the band.

If Ronnie couldn't record on this album b/c of rehabbing, then that goes to show the absolute longevity of Mick and Keith. Hell, they were in the band over 10 years before Ronnie was even considered. You're either tough enough or you can't hang. Being the second guitar player in the Stones is kind of like being the keyboard player in the Grateful Dead. Good luck Ronnie, you

The only thing about Soldier Field that scares me is that it was the sight of Jerry Garcia's last show. As a Dead fan, and a Stones fan, that place scares me. Whoever the opening band is, I hope they can fight off the ghost's that live under the turf.

Going home is not a load of shite. It's the Stones. They are not the type to carry on for hours singing obscure lyrics about their personal political views. They sing obscure lyrics about their sex lives. There is a big difference. Comparing the two is a difficult task. I personally can only listen to Dylan's record "Desire". I think that is a brilliant piece of work. The rest

Does anyone have any idea behind the motivation for this song? I love the whole record but love more how they ended the record with this 11 minute jerkoff. Back in 65 this was unheard of.

Overated? I doubt it. Why don't you try to write an ablum as good as this. Secondly, Aftermath is the best Stones album in my opinion.
