Quotejumpingjackflash5 QuoteRaiseTheKnife Charlie adapted the tempo a bit more to follow how Keith played, while Steve kind of forces up the tempo no matter what. Seems like many people want them to play faster. Right, right. Charlie was (mainly) following Keith, whereas now Mr. Jordan drives the tempo and the others catch up, they do well, but the sound has changed also because of this. Ther

OMG!!! 16 pages of BS. What the F... did you all expect? A clone taking over Charlie's Drumseat? Of course the sound had to change. Steve is a fine drummer but (luckily) has his own style. It is impossible to copy an extraordinary musician and by the way you should not even try or you end up like a bad copy. Maybe Steve will bring in fresh air like Ronnie once did. We will see and ti

At least that extra (sound)hole didn't affect the sound of the guitar that sounded and played great.

Quotejumpingjackflash5 QuoteNikkei We're about to find out how essential he really is Very essential. The sound will be different. Different YES, but will it be worse? I can't say. Never heard him on drums to a Stones song so far.

I personally can't imagine going to a "Rolling Stones" Show without Charlie being on Drums. On the other hand think about this: Many couldn't imagine going to a Rolling Stones Show without Brian Jones. Many couldn't imagine going to a Rolling Stones Show without Mick Taylor. Many couldn't imagine going to a Rolling Stones Show without Bill Wyman. And what ha

The one thing that annoys me the most is Keith Richards. Wasn't it him who always said "Without Charlie Watts there!ll be no Rolling Stones. He is the only person I couldn't play without." Bla bla bla. Get well soon Charlie and give him a few kicks in the a..

QuoteBig Al QuoteTooTough Quote1962 Dear BV! Why this on IORR? I don't think this has anything to do with IORR. Please close it! ...Keith is living in the US! and cannot vote. He may as well be there on holiday. After all and thanks god he still is a british citizen!

I still can't see anything Band related in this thread. By the time touring will be an option for them, he'll be long gone. But "the master make the rules For the wise men and the fools It's alright, Ma, I can stand it." (slightly changed ;-))

Quotepftw04 Which is tougher to play? I feel guitar. In drums you just need to beat the skin hard. Like Keith he has to stand for hours which is tough for any human If you think playing drums is just about "beating the skins hard", you don't have a clue about music. There's a reason why Drums (and Bass) are called the engine or rhythm section of a band.

QuoteNate QuoteRoadster32 Please everyone don‘t ask for refunds, if you can afford it. These days are tough for artists. Yes let’s organise a go fund me page for Ronnie Wood. Nate Pure nonsense! These gigs were organized and paid for by Ben Waters. Ronnie was just a hired and already paid guest.

Waiting for a message from Ben Waters. At the moment it seems that the shows are still on. I highly doubt though that they are going to happen. Anything else would be a big surprise and irresponsible to the artists and the audience.

Quotebv Within two weeks, I will assume travel from other countries will be banned in a number of European countries. Why? Because it is facts based. The main sources of the coronavirus in Europe now is Italy and Austria/Tyrol. Two weeks ago the main source was Iran and South Korea, and 2-4 weeks before that it was China. Next week it will be another country, and in 14 days we will have a numb

Not sure if I could handle 90 minutes of Ben's boogie woogie - with what might turn out to be a short appearance by Sir Ron at some point in the set ? I'll pass ... Good to see that Ronnie is still playing though, outside of the RS ... On the other hand it
