Sorry, but taking kids under 12 to see a Stones show is just bad parenting.

Warriors lost because they failed to score in the last 4:39 of the game. Were 0-9 in that stretch. Curry 0-4. Just an incredibly bad scoring drought coming at the worst time.

May 15th 1972 Tickets for the Stones went on sale on this date. I remember how long the lines were. Everything was newspaper, radio or word of mouth. And tickets only cost $ 5.50 Ah, the good ole days.

QuoteCMH516 STP was a rollicking good ride that makes you feel like you are right in the middle of the chaos and decadence that was the '72 tour. I couldn't put that book down. The next one was trash. I literally threw it away as soon as I finished it. Not sure which I hated more, his factual errors or the continual use of amateurish literary devices like "You make ask your

Bill Grahams promoted 72 concerts in CA were filmed, at least in SF and SD, but only in B and W by Graham and not by the Stones. Where those tapes are now, who knows. They may have been destroyed in the fire at Graham's office many years ago. I have always wondered though if they, and the audio tapes of the Stones 1972 CA shows were among the items that were sold to the guy who now owns Wolf

QuoteSocrates1 Quotetornnfrayed As much as I love Keith Richards, he is obviously more qualified to be a rock star than a father. I read somewhere where one of his daughters just came out of rehab for drug addiction. No wonder with a father like that. Kind of like Mickey Mantle whose 3 sons were all alcoholics. Mickey Mantle could have put all his kids up for adoption, and still they would ha

It is a great film, as I think most serious film critics acknowledge. Robert Frank after all is a serious artist. I think it is hard to appreciate the film, however, if you did not experience the Stones in this period.

A wonderful movie about the Stones and about America in 1972. It would be great if it got an official release but I don't think it will ever happen.

Quotedcba Quotetornnfrayed preparing a new 72 release ? Details ? Thanks It was "previewed" here. Videojames found the SB tapes from the 72 tour (mainly Philie) and he sent the word to the band it would make a good SA release. Apparently the band agreed... Check VJ's posts here from last year : you'll read his exact words. I think all he said was that they were

Quotedcba I definitely think the 1st image has a "potential". Have you tried to contact a photo gallery near the place you live in? You might make a few extra bucks with some "work" you've done 44 years ago (whistling). Anotehr possibility : the Stones are preparing a 72 comp to be released this year. Your pic would belong to the booklet. preparing a new 72 release ?

In a thread regarding the "next vault release" someone here reported that the Stones next year will release a concert film from the 1969 MSG shows. This is a film that will be shown in theatres and is not part of the from the vault series. Sounds too good to be true. Anyone else hear anything like this ?

Quotethkbeercan not in this particular order..... Paris 1976, Atlantic City 1989, New Jersey or Miami 1994, Japan 1995, St. Louis or LIVE At The 10 Spot 1997. An extended "Stripped" is also a possibility. ABKCO & Rolling Stones joint venture 2 DVD set of music videos similar to Beatles "1+". "MSG 1969-The Rolling Stones Live in Concert" to be released in

Just out of curiosity I watched some of the Stones 1990 Tokyo concert on youtube. This was 25 years ago after all and maybe, I thought, they were not as bad as I remembered them then. But after watching some of this show, I must say they were worse than I had remembered. Just for the heck of it I then watched some 72 footage from MSG. No comparison. The Stones were a truly great band in 1972

I wish there was a separate section for the 1972 tour and perhaps some of the other well known tours so people whose interest was that tour and that tour alone would have a place to to post reviews of new recordings, photos, ask and answer questions etc and share reminiscences.

yes, the photos from the back are the best because they show the crowd and the serpent stage. Please post more ! Also, a question. I read somewhere that the Stones had an alternate plain white stage that they used on the 72 tour at times. I think it was in Greenfield. True ?
