Quote24FPS 2013. Los Angeles. The last time I will see them unless something changes drastically. Improved setlists. New musicians. Something. Barclay's 2012 for me and I was bored to tears. Almost left early. No Taylor, no energy. I knew I was done and never looked back.

The recent events with millions around the world protesting with zero social distancing will be the litmus test. If people don't start dropping like flies, if the hospitals worldwide are not overwhelmed as a result of a complete flouting of the guidelines, then people will (and in many places are) rethink the past few months and get on with their lives. I've said it before - this is un

QuoteHairball Odd that a post about "Operation Warp Speed" - an article about the quest for a vaccine written by a science website - has been deleted as there was nothing political about it other than it had the US Presidents name. Thought it would be newsworthy to note the lengths the US goverenment is willing to go to try and fight this problem. I saw an interview clip last night o

Remember when nobody did anything until a polio vaccine was discovered? Everyone hid inside because otherwise bad things would happen. Very wise and life went on and here we are.

Quoterollmops I was looking through a Rolling Stones book called "50" and there is a picture of the Lotus stage during a show at earls court in 1976. The stage is set up at the center of the arena with the audience surrounding it. A portion of the public had to watch the band from the back it seems. Did that stage revolve at some point? Rockandroll, Mops Lord no. The stage was perfe

The drummer ruins this, in my opinion, but this was Johnny's debut with Mike Bloomfield. He was signed with Columbia shortly afterwards:

QuoteGasLightStreet The unemployment thing... I've filed, didn't know I was supposed to file every week. Once I found that out, couldn't log on... had to enter the same info again one time, another time I couldn't do anything, yesterday there was ZERO information; if I ever do get to... what's the term, claim? it I probably won't see any money until late May at this

Fortunately I personally only know of a few second-hand cases of this virus and I am in Brooklyn. I do know of many people who are suddenly out of work, their businesses they worked for years to build are either destroyed or close to it, their employees are out of work, their kids are home from school, the rent is due, and they can't even get through to the Labor Dept. to finalize their une

Newsweek had an interesting article regarding Dr. Fauci and the Wuhan lab. "...last year, the National Institute for Allergy and Infectious Diseases, the organization led by Dr. Fauci, funded scientists at the Wuhan Institute of Virology and other institutions for work on gain-of-function research on bat coronaviruses." "Many scientists have criticized gain of function resea

A rather technical paper by a medical doctor which indicates that corticosteroids are effective in treating this. Saw Johnny several times over the years. The first time was at the Fillmore East. Lights went down and the crowd went crazy as Johnny's head of white hair glided on stage. He really tore it up. Lots of weaving with Rick Derringer. Opening bands were Elvin Bishop and some new group called The Allman Brothers, who were recording a live album.

Not trying to swing anyone's opinion one way or another, just giving the perspective of a physician who is in a much better position to express his sentiments than many people: "I’ve worked the coronavirus front line — and I say it’s time to start opening up" Note he says "start opening up".

They only showed Sing Me Back Home. Also a short clip of Keith talking about Merle. It was a great show (only one hour) but I would have like to see at least one clip of Merle. There was also a Willie Nelson tribute on the night before. No Keith but also a great bunch of artists (including Willie!).

QuoteRocknroll1969 The priority of the United States federal government should be to save lives. Trump is a jackass. He cares about the Dow Jones more then saving lives. The whole United State should be under lockdown. He addressed this in his State of the Union speech, which Nancy Pelosi tore up in front of the world and declared it "all lies" and then she proceeded to encourage people

The St. George Theater in Staten Island sent me an email regarding canceled and rescheduled shows. In it they say this: "Dear Patrons of the St. George Theatre, The health and safety of our community we love and serve, is our top priority, and our thoughts are with those impacted by the COVID-19 global pandemic. Since it first surfaced, our team has been monitoring the situation close

I agree that Andrew Cuomo, whom I have never been a fan of, has stepped up admirably. Regarding Trump's response to the reporter, Trump isn't eloquent to say the least, BUT part of the reason for the daily briefings, in which he has members of his team speak and answer question, and in which he himself fields a plethora of questions, is to keep the public informed and reassure them tha

I feel for the road crews that have been and may be affected by any cancellations. Hopefully there is some provision for emergency scenarios such as this with the available work suddenly diminished. Should the tours/shows go forward, these employees can't "work from home" obviously and will be even more exposed due to travel and crowds. A quandary indeed. Fingers (and toes) crossed
