QuoteJerkyLittleGIJoe Thanks Matt. I wouldn't say it is the weakest track hotsuff - mind you, personal opinion. Thumping piano, Mick's vocals, Mick Taylor's guitar, it's right up there on my playlist

I picked up a crisp and clean vinyl Japan copy of GHS. Very pleased. I vote for them doing "Hide Your Love" on the next tour - mid set. Couldn't get much better than that.

Quote71Tele Sorry, but so much speculation and projection about the emotional life of someone we do not even know. I understand it's well-intentioned, but still...everyone is entitled to a private life. Very well said and totally agree

I thought on that tour that they had a section allowed for tapers if my memory serves me well (Peter Grant would have been ticked off) - I have one called "Simple Truth" - San Jose June 20th

Excellent! Thanks for posting BostonLass. I haven't taken any photographs using the RAW format yet. This will give me the impetus to give it a try.

Part 1. Stuck outside the El Mocambo with no ticket - and going around to the back alley and seeing the roadies taking the guitars in. Gut wrenching. Part 2. Leaving the 1981 San Francisco 2nd show during "Time Is On My Side" - because I had to catch a flight to get back to work. Gut wrenching again.

Great link veronus, thanks for sharing. Lots to look through (off the top, and besides The Stones pics, the B&W's of The Jam are great).

That will never happen. The "brand name" in itself will retire one day naturally only as a performing/recording act, but the "brand name" and its fantastic musical legacy will remain as an entity for years and years to come, and for future generations to appreciate and enjoy. This is an old boys club now, and old boys clubs stick together. You don't just leave.

Bitch. And I also love Let It Rock off the Brown Sugar single - feels like a freight train headin' for the end of the tracks at full speed. Both played loud of course.

QuoteHound Dog Thanks everyone for the feedback, we are leaning towards Ronnie, my wife also suggested Taylor. Happy was an interesting suggestion, that was the song they played at our wedding after they said we pronounce you husband and wife. I will post some pictures soon, we pick him up tomorrow and he will be reunited with his big sister Angie. I'll also post some pictures of our

Quotetreaclefingers Quotepeter wilson Yep Max, the Gastown Steam Clock. Beautful Downtown Vancouver! Gassy Jack was actually the name of the guy that inspired it, no? Yes. There is a great story about his life too. (Look up "Gassy Jack" - briefly it is on on Wiki). I think that Keith would have liked him.

This is a nice one from Johnny Marr. On a side note, there is a documentary from 2003 called 'The Importance of Being Morrissey' that is worth a watch (contains interesting commentary too on when he supported Bowie on tour). Some vids on YouTube with Marr and Ronnie Wood playing live have, from what I've seen so far, a rough mix (sound) unfortunately.
