Stones may produce one of their less surprising setlist ever, they still find the room for innovation : first 4-song encore in a 50-year career ?

QuoteThatsWhatISay What a boring stage. One of these run-of-the-mill ones you often see at festivals. Nothing special at all and probably the worst stadium stage I've seen the Stones play on since they became a Vegas act. But for this rather short tour with few stadium gigs I knew they would keep it low budget here. Anything else would have been economical nonsense I guess. It is just a si

Just saw the Tokyo calendar. 6 days between the first two shows. Is it possible that they saved a few days to add one more date inbetween ?

Last good song is Doom And Gloom for sure. But last great song is either Far Away Eyes, Beast of Burden or Shattered. Whichever is the latest.

From the 1996's Take It From The Man "I, Anton A. Newcombe, do solemly swear that the ghost of Brian Jones cameto me in the studio and asked me to make this record. P.S. He also asked that I should kick the shit out of old Mick & Keith for ripping off his band, girl and money, having him murdered, being glad he's dead and for not being very nice people." Anyway, a g

You know you are die hard Stones Fan when.... ... you dress like Jagger, smoke (and talk) like Richards, drink like Ronnie, dance like Taylor, swim like Brian, pick up girls like Bill... and care like Charlie !

Jagger's acoustic guitar at the beginning of YCAGWYW is a nice add vs. the previous tours.

After Jagger said "Please do come again", I felt under the impression that he was gonna add something like "We love your money !" But do they rock tonight !

I had the bootleg but I didn't know the show had surfaced in video. Anyway, here's the rehearsal with a messy IORR and Hot Stuff : And almost the full show, first song (IORR) and last three (CYHMK, JJF & BS) are missing : Awesome stuff !

Waking up in Europe to find Tom Waits duetted with the Stones over the night is one of those news that launched the week on the positive note ! Don't want to be that guy, but Tom seems a bit lost on this video (too short a rehearsal ? drinking pre-show contest w/ Keith & Ronnie ?). Great blues though !

Emotional Rescue. I f***ing despise that song, but I kinda respect the band for getting out of the ri comfort zone and trying this one. Sounds rather good on the video.

Would never happen, as Keith doesn't like Bowie. Plus I'd rather twice for two full Stones and Bowie gigs (if Bowie ever tours), rather than once for half a Stones gig and half a Bowie gig.

I don't agree with you. His songs are good, musically speaking. And his personality is, quite like Tom Waits, one of the poetic drunkard kind. The same could also apply to Keith in some ways.
