Stones + marimbas + Mick + done live is a winning formula.

I sorted through a few versions and this has the clearest synthesized marimbas. That are played by their other keyboards player. I forget his name. While Chuck has some organ parts in OOT.

The first 20 minutes, including Out of Time with some synth marimbas. Great version. Put it out now as a single!

Out Of Time would be my favorite for them to play. But I doubt they will do it. It's too difficult to pull off live. If they play it, it will be in London.

QuoteHairball Yes the absolute power of Bill Wyman - he'll always be greatly missed, and the Stones have never been quite the same without him both live and in the studio. They could have at least included a picture of him somewhere in this release considering his essential and indispensable presence. Bill is not dumb at this age. I am sure he has his lawyers methodically out collecting w

QuoteRockman Still rivets me spine .... nobody but thee Stones ..... Where is me Memo From Turner from Mick? He would really mow them down. "It was at the Coke convention in 1966..." Hmmmmm...that guitar down below ob YouTube sounds suspiciously like Steve Winwood.

QuoteBliss Like most of super-thin people, Mick's face shows much ageing. There is just no fat to hold it up. I think he should have had subtle cosmetic tweaks from the age of 40. You can't say he doesn't care. I've read he knows everything about skincare and was panicked that he'd be bald like his father. Obviously he's been dyeing his hair for a long time. For s

You call all learn from Mick as far as vigorous exercise goes. He used to do a lot of running to stay in top shape. You never hear about this anymore. My guess is he does pilates and yoga to stay in top condition these days. Perhaps chi gong and tai-chi too. Probably some weight lifting. He likes to take anonymous walks while on tour. When you are younger, you can eat more and stuff your face

This track is no Memo From Turner. We need another Mick-Winwood-Miller collaboration. Or at least Stevie and Mick.

QuoteDandelionPowderman Quotetriceratops Brian Jones was their original harmonica player and made some great contributions. I doubt Mick ever played harmonica publicly and recordings while Brian was in The Stones. Check out Little By Little on their very first album (after Mick says "my turn") I stand corrected, and happy birthday to you!

Mick has been babying his voice for decades, so it is still strong. He must do lots of voice exercises too.

As the English say, JM is topping off his retirement fund. Or dementia fund. Just having fun here. I saw him a few times back in the good old days. One time was with Mick Taylor, when he was fresh in the band. NYC Central Park, Summer music festival.

Here is my question. How come old man Rod is able to perform with little rest time for his vocal cords. while Mick needs 4 days between Rolling Stones concerts to rest them and recover? Is Rod rougher and tougher and stronger than Mick? Better genetics? Does he gulp down O2 while Keith sings his two? Ronnie is getting bored, so how many guest appearances will he make? I say five. Quotetreaclefingers I wonder if Mick would consider a style change to Adidas Ultra Boost shoes? They really are a lot more comfortable than the Nike's he's currently sporting. I have some $10 ones (yes $10) from Walmart that look the same black and cool as Mick's minus the white Nike whoosh stripe. Mine are superior due to having nylon mesh, breathable uppers. Great for my hot c

Keith and Richard Simmons should come out with a new "Sweating to the Oldies" exercise video. Except that the oldies are all classic Stones. I'll bet Mick could sell a few million copies of an exercise video.

Quotecrawdaddy Mick is a real inspiration to me as well. I'm a 70 year old guy, and just had a knee operation, and hoping to get back to exercise soon. It's taking longer than I expected to get back to walking briskly etc. without too much pain, but I'll get there. It's less than a fortnight since the op, so gotta be patient and take it easy before I can really get starte

Thanks. Jagger used to do lots of running. At his age you have to tone that down and do what the video shows. Yoga, stretches, limbering up exercises. He seems to go out walking a lot during recent tours. What else is he gonna do when there are (were) four days between their Stone's performances. Out walking incognito with a baseball cap and shades.
