A fine live version to be sure. Keith should have joined in on the vocals. But the original, frantic and coked up recording is the best. Shattered is one my favorite Stones tunes.

Covid is over in Florida. Over and done with. Loads of snowbirds are down here as the temperatures and weather makes this the best time of year. Ticket prices will be bid up and up and up. Too rich for my blood. Anyways it will be a real blowout, everyone will leave with great memories. Including The Stones, their supporting musicians, all their crew that works behind the scenes. Perhaps Mick

Pete Townsend double tracked-quadruple tracked his guitar in the recording studio. On stage, it was his one guitar, so the classic The Who live was a thin sound. Too thin for me. While the Stones toured with Stewart and then Nicky Hopkins, took on horn players, filling out their live sound. My guess is that Roger wanted to take additional musicians with them out on tour. But Pete Townsend'

Roger Daltry is an agent provocateur. iirc he has as many offspring as Mick and they both look great for their age. So does Rod Stewart. Yikes, all three have about 8 children. 60s-70s rock n roll must be the fountain of youth and virility.

QuoteNikkei The involvement of the horn section in general has been greatly reduced from 2012 on. The arrangements at the end of the warhorses are gone except for Tumbling Dice. Satisfaction, BS, JJF all had those, even SFTD in 1999. Sounded like pretty standard showbiz stuff that probably wasn't embraced by all fans. Tim Ries probably was in charge of arranging that Paying travel + hotel

Quotegotdablouse Monkey Man, view not great but good audio and came out alright for a song rarely played, better than some of the "usual suspects"... Good and close view though a bit blurry. Audio very clear for one of my favorites from 1969. song facts --

Sure, the UK Daily Mail is tabloid in some aspects/ I still like it for its real news coverage in UK and USA because this newspaper is politically in the middle. It does not have the leftist slant that 90% of US newspapers have. The top two newspapers in the US are the NY Times and Washington Post. They are slanted left, same as our major TV networks, ABC, NBC, CBS. Believe it or not, the UK Dai

Quotebitusa2012 Yeah it’s there She’s So Cold Neigbours Shattered Monkey Man I voted Monkey Man Voted Shattered, one of the best. So funny, fast and coked up as in NYC 1977. I also voted for Memo From Turner, same as last time. QuoteWiki says: Recorded from October to December 1977, "Shattered" features lyrics sung in sprechgesang by Jagger on a guitar riff by Keith Rich

Quotedaspyknows For those who want to hear LA2 here is an untracked high bitrate mp3 to stream to your phone or puter while I track the set. I know that is a difficult request for some to follow. Thanks! I really wanted to hear very cle

There is a whole new world of cognitive enhancement therapies out there. Life extension therapies too. Mick is probably already doing some of these. Best case scenario is that he begged Kieth to give some a try. This is why we have new and improved Keith. Plus Keith cutting way back or eliminating alcohol and ciggies..... Just these two actions helped him a lot and cut down swelling and arthritis

Quotewaterrats QuoteGlam Descendant So they dropped "Troubles a'Comin"? Too bad. Looks like we get a 19 song list tonight. This is Los Angeles, with 7 days until Minneapolis to rest Mick's vocal cords. My bet was Stones would do 20 tunes to blow it out for LA. Was the stadium full for show #2? "Troubles a'Comin" was dull and worth dropping. This was never a

All Down The Line Sunday night -- Kind of a shambles, but at least it was there. Perhaps another you tube video sounds better. Mick Taylor's guitar made this tune! Ronnie performs this part, but is lost low in the sound mix.

You gotta get up very early in the day to get one past Ol' Mick. And Paul McCartney failed. For me, seeing the current Rolling Stones is at least 10x more exciting t

QuoteMisterDDDD What a fantastic show! Biggest question leaving the stadium (huge pain btw) was how do they top this on Sunday? Can’t wait to see how they mix it up on Sunday..!! Stones just might go all out on Sunday, they have a 7 day tour break until the next show. Mick can exert his voice more than usual due to the long rest for his vocal cords. Perhaps Stones will do 20 tunes. Oct 17t

Rolling Stones arrive in Burbank airport ahead of SoFi Stadium tour stop Oct 12, 2021 Mick and Keith speak to a local Fox 11 reporter on the airport tarmac for a minute or two. A mini-press conference of sorts. Mick's in his peach colored retro- seer sucker suit. Check out Mick's sartorial splendor, Charlie would have been delighted to see.

QuoteRocktiludrop Can't get it on youtube at the moment but Winwood and Clapton playing Little Wing is beyond words, such a soulful solo. I go back to Hendrix playing it and it's empty in comparison. Yeah just love those shows with Winwood bringing the very best out of Clapton. I was going to mention the Clapton/Winwood version of Jimi Hendrix's Little Wing. Done better than

And the happy energy and friendships were on display so much.. Great version of this 1965 oldie
