QuoteLeonidP QuoteMononoM omg... there are one or two songs we need to skip when we play the upcoming record... "It will feature Paul McCartney on one, maybe two tracks." (source ) The Stones do have a bass player right? Why let this clown on the record? if it was any other of the other band ok, but not Paul the Quakert... Yeah! What's he ever done? Quotezeppo1 Quotehockenheim95 Quotezeppo1 QuoteJames Kirk October almost seems too soon. I would think a single sometime in September to be followed by the album in November. Before it got taken down on the Steve Hoffman forum, someone cut and pasted a few sentences from the album design website that said it would be announced in September and released in october. This dude reads itvideo:

QuoteRollingStoner Quotepeoplewitheyes Interesting choice of quote from Keith to post on the RS official FB page: "One of the great luxuries of the Stones is we have an enormous, great big can of stuff. I mean what anybody hears is just the tip of an iceberg, you know. And down there are vaults of stuff. But you have to have the patience and the time to actually sift through it." -

Quotedoitywoik QuoteHairball Quotedoitywoik Let's be honest: If this was a tune performed by the Stones, we would praise it to the skies! We would? Speaking for myself, I'll be completely honest...I don't think so. Makes the 'Tell the Truth' snippet sound like an absolute masterpiece. lol Besides, Keith would probably veto it as fast as it came out of the speake

Quotesf37 In looking at the Stones first studio release of original new music per each decade, it's intriguing to see the various directions the developing Jagger/Richards writing team would take the band over time. And the results sure reveal a mixed bag of tracks. Just for fun, how would you rank them, simply based on your own personal level of enjoyment? In terms of singles, here are t

QuoteRocky Dijon Always interesting to see how people respond differently. To me, this seems like bureaucratic incompetence or an abuse of power to prevent select people from traveling abroad or face denial to return home. That is exactly what it is. I'm with you there Rocky.

QuoteSpud over the last ten years or so we've got most of the fabled stuff we'd begged for over the previous many-many years ... I think we're now rooting around in the bottom of barrel for any old tatty scraps. I wouldn't consider Misty Roads or I Need You as barrel scraping for one and there is a lot of potentisl in those snippets heard in the playbsck of English

QuoteGasLightStreet Quoteshadooby QuoteGasLightStreet Quoteshadooby Rick Rubin needs to come back and do one that puts the rock back into the roll. To think that what he did with ELECTRIC in 1987 he couldn't do with, oddly enough, AC/DC's BALLBREAKER in 1995 - it's as flat sounding as a table. Ooh that's why it's so good. It's better than FLICK or FLY or RAZOR

QuoteHairball I seem to recall a large folded poster that came with the vinyl album....similar in design to the album cover...infrared...might have even been a two sided poster? Yep, and a mini version included in the limited edition 1994 Virgin re-issue I had just like the postcards in the Exile one. They really wanted to creste the album experience.

I question rather the band cared enough to be as Frank described them. The Stones have always come across a very laissez-faire outfit during that era and into the early 80s. It seems like Frank wanted the myth to be real but even then a lot of whst he says is contradictory about the band. I think they too high or strung out from drugs, booze and the tour itself to be as he described them. They pr

The cynicism on this thread is astounding and maybe it should be. We know they've recorded at least one album's worth of material so even if the new album never happens there will be a wealth of outtakes that will leak at some point. Maybe that will be better since many here will probably complain and hate the production. If this album has hit a snag is probably at least partly a di

QuoteCaptainchaos QuoteTheflyingDutchman QuoteDoxa Always nice to see and hear Keith playing the blues. Beautiful, idiosyncratic touch. I could listen this for ever. But, of course, if this is 'making music' probably the aims for creativity aren't that high any longer... (no, I don't think this is any of those 'dynamite riffs' he talked some years ago). Otherwise,

QuoteRocky Dijon Shouldn't this trigger responses about how Keith is just like Mick and needs to stop uploading short videos teasing us and give us real songs instead? It will be 30 years in September 2027 since the last album of Jagger-Richards originals was released after all... LOL! Some comedy gold right there amd on the mark.

Quotemkbbcmr "Hide Your Love" * ? You must be joking. Fantastic track and the only one on "Goat's Head Soup" with an "Exile" vibe, songwise as well as productionwise. Would fit in perfectly between "Turd On The Run" and "Ventilator Blues" - rough and ready. Agreed! It would've fit in on Exile.
