Only a question, Trapo: Is this taken from a vinyl or from a cd bootleg? I had got this vinyl some years ago (but a "friend" kept for himself), and I love this vinyl; it hasn´t a great sound, but it sound strong, heavy; for example, the begining of Street fighting man and the Keiths guitar at instrumental part are animals.
Thanks a lot for your post.

I was at this show and yes it was heavily promoted as the first night show of the tour.
George Thorogood & Destroyers and J. Geils opened the show. It was a beautiful 80 degree sunny afternoon that led into a steamy evening. General Admission. I was wasted by the time we got inside the stadium. Mushrooms, weed, and mojo did the trick. However I was recovered enough when the Stones came on and lit the place up.

Yes, I know that, Keessie.
Anyway, if you have the San Diego show from a different source than the LP, I'd love to hear it - maybe via torrent?

Erik, at some point someone posted/uploaded a King Biscuit (or other radio broadcast) show that was stated to be a complete San Diego show, yet I don't think it was. Do you know that boot? Can you say what show it actually is?

Hi Texas Fan, that 'San Diego bootleg' was a mixture of songs from Houston 78, Largo 81, Hampton 81, Pontiac 81....and other well-known KBFH broadcasts.
It's a copy of either "On Top Of Old Smokey", "Mission Direct Hits"....or something like that.
Didn't download it though, but I know that's the case.
The most complete compilation of these 81 radio broadcasts is the "Ride Like The Wind" box from Rattlesnake.

Thanks, Erik. I actually have "Ride Like the Wind" but just never sat and compared them. I felt sure there was no San Diego broadcast that year, though. Thanks for confirming...
