HELP NEEDED: The Stones: Mobile Alabama June 27th 1972 - Missing Tracks
Posted by: Sohoe ()

Long long time ago I found some tracks from Mobile, Al 1972 on some website, but Bitch, Rocks Off, Rip This Joint and the band introduction were missing. Can someone help me out and post these tracks?

Sohoe,

These are from a CD called Alabama Jubilee which I also downloaded a while back which I haven’t listened to yet. There is no separate track for the band intro’s but the three music tracks are here. The band intro’s might be part of the previous track (Midnight Rambler) which I can upload if you want. I can’t listen to check this out for you as I am at work at the moment. These are wma files. I hope it is the same recording.

I have a low gen cassette of the show (got it 1978) w/Chip talking to the audience before the show about people crowding at the front of the stage.

It is the same recording. I forgot to say which CD it was from.

I gave the tracks a listen yesterday, and eventhough it's only in audience I think you can really feel the energy of the band. In particular BBJ and BS are IMO fantastic.

Many many thanks for the missing tracks.

Sohoe,

I had a quick listen to the end of Midnight Rambler and the band intros are not there. They were normally before BBJ on the '72 Tour weren't they?

That's interesting vancouver. What makes you think that? I haven't thought about the tape being a fake.

Terraplane, I will load the whole album. As I said earlier I haven't listened to it even though it has been on my PC for a while.
