Thanks for postng this. I have the Toronto Rocks DVD, but it does not have much of what is on your post.

I was at the show...a long hot day. Great sound for most of the bands, except the Stones. Their first few songs were very flat, and missing guitars during Start Me Up and Brown Sugar. They sounded better by the time they got to Ruby Tuesday.

I was never a fan of either band, but ACDC and Rush both blew the Stones performance away that day. Come to think of it, the Guess Who was better too.

I look forward to hearing what they sounded like thru their soundboard. You never know if the problem with live sound is from the main speakers, a bad mix, a loose wire, etc.

Far from a great Stones show, but a wonderful and unique event to attend. Toronto knows how to have a fun time.

I don't even have such a problem with Justin Timberlake as an SNL/MTV VMA host but that duet on Miss You is one of the worst things I have ever heard. No wonder he got pelted with crap.

There had been rumors of 'special guest appearances' all day. Everyone hoped for, and got, Angus guesting, as he had been doing n Europe with the Stones. Everyone had been hoping Timberlake was NOT going to try sharing the stage with the Stones. His warm-up set was not well-received either. With all the acts there that day, from the Guess Who to the Isley Bros, it would have been nice to have someone, anyone, else guest with the Stones.
