Eric Burdon and the Animals are doing a free gig near here this Summer. Is he still worth seeing? I'm assuming that 'the Animals' he will bring are aything but the originl guys.

There's an Eric Burdon web site which will give you the particulars of his current band, tour dates, etc. Google his name for the site. I DL'd his recent album and, I'll be honest, it was hard to listen to, probably due more to the song selections than anthing else. The tunes didn't seem to suit his vocal range. I think the last time the original band, or most of it, got together was back in the 1980s when they put out "Before We Were So Rudely Interrrupted", which is a really nice collection of mostly classic blues and I know at least one Dylan tune was on the album. The band was tight and Burdon sang his a** off. It's well worth searching out this album if you dig the Animals.
