Question About How To Encode Track Markers On Download That's One Long File
Posted by: mikeh ()

I'm trying to teach myself how to do various things with downloads--file splitting, converting from wma to mp3, etc--and this is one I need some help with.

Say you download a file that's all one long file, not split-up into separate tracks. What kind of software do you need to be able to encode separate track markers on the file before burning it to cd? Not splitting the file so that each song is a separate file, but keeping it as one long unsplit file, but with each song encoded as a separate track, so that you can skip from one track to another without having to fast forward, or backward, through the whole file.

Any help with this is greatly appreciated!

Not sure if you can do this, I've always split long files into seperate ones before burning.

I've got Nero, but didn't think to see if it would do what I'm trying to do. And I'll try yours, too, kream. Thanks very much everyone!
