Dime Alert: Jagger at Webster Hall 1993 Stereo Upgrade (sample)
Posted by: lamemodem2 ()
Date: September 19, 2006 16:24

UPDATE: All tracks posted (in random order). See below.

To those of you with a Dime account:

Someone in the last day or so posted a stereo upgrade to the Mick Jagger concert at Webster Hall in 1993. I only had the mono source and this is a big improvement in my opinion.

Here's a sample. It's track 10, Wandering Spirit:

God, I've been hoping for this ever since 1993! It gives it so much more width. But..... I don't have a dime account. So, many thanks for this track, and many many more if you could put the rest of the show on YouSendIt.

If you don't have time to do that, perhaps just Out Of Focus and Evening Gown? I think the versions are even better than the studio ones.

Yeah, would love as well. I can't get a dime account, says limit has been reached. I would love this entire show! Such fantastic performances!

@retireddog

I am a MICK Solo hater (cos' i don't like the way he has to always seem
the youngest AND doing some songs that he could have forget for sure)

But he's Mick , and we listen to him even so,
When he play rock'n'roll LIKE THIS I am a Mick Solo lover !

HMN

You know in France, we never , really never like "Miss You"
and when the stones play that song at each concert they do,
for most of us, it's really a torment!

@lamemodem2

Thanx to have put these songs, great sound!

@Honestman

I certainly don't like each and every track Mick released in his solo career, but at the same time his solo output is not as bad as some put it. And these Webster 1993 recordings show this. In fact, in my opinion Wandering Spirit is his solo highlight, too bad that he did not keep some of the songs like Don't Tear Me Up, Evening Gown, Wandering Spirit and others for the Stones. But I know what you mean, Mick is a fantastic musician, and certain journeys into plastic pop were...uuh...

And Miss You...well, I love the original (long) studio version and live versions from the 1978 US tour. From 1981 onwards I found this song increasingly boring in concert.

@retireddog

We understand each other! Great!
I'm agree with your analysis.
And some of our rock critics should have played music before making some critics!
I also think that "Wandering Spirit" is his best solo Album!

Cheers from France!

How dare any of you out there have the nerve to question the great Mr. Jagger.

Wandering Spirit is as good as it gets...and that includes Exile.

"It's Good To Be Here, It's Good To Be Anywhere"-Keith Richards

"Halloween Is Every Night Of My Life"-Keith Richards

"I Got The Sticky Fingers, For Some Girls"

I can't accurately express my feelings about this post, but what otonneau says comes close to what I feel about it.
