I put this up a few days ago on another thread - just in case anyone missed it -It's still got a couple of days to run...

A cover version - Stones related - the Herbie Mann/Mick Taylor version from 1974 - At the end of his Stones career Mick-T gets freedom to dig into the groove in a lengthy instrumental jam

Which Herbie Mann album is this from? Taylor also played on Mann's "Reggae" album, if my memory serves me well, and did some great solo work on this album also.

I think this is the one - details copied and pasted from Nico's site.

April 1974: HERBIE MANN.

LP 'London Underground' (Atlantic K 50032). Producer: Geoffrey Haslam.
Sound engineer: Gary Martin. Recorded in London, Advision Studios, most
probably in late 1973 or early 1974.

-Bitch (MJ/KR) -Aynsley Dunbar on drums, Ian McDonald on alto sax

Basic line-up: MT (gtr)/Herbie Mann (flutes)/Albert Lee (gtr)/Fuzzy Samuels(bass)/Pat Rebillot (keyb)

The file I've posted is from 'Lost & Found' Vol 1 boot/pirate CD
