Hello Cafaro!
I downloaded one track, and I recognized it at once at Nov. 6th, NOT Nov. 8th.
Just some info. But, still, thanks!

Thanks for the goodies here, but it is the Nov 6 show. Still love it, but I hope the Nov 8 show appears as I want to hear Rain Fall Down. Hope you're recovery comes along much better and faster than you anticipate.

Cafaro:

Let me ask you, do you recall how you originally obtain the tracks from rock passion ?

Were they MP3's or a true CDR copy in which case they would be WAV files ??

Mother,
I don't remember. I did burn them to CD/R and the posts I am putting up I used THAT CD/R and imported the songs into I TUNES using 320 bit.

Does that work?

Cafaro:

If you got the tracks from Rock Passion via the internet by downloading to your computer, then whatever bitrate they were encoded as then that is what there bitrate regardless of what you do when you import them into itunes from the CDR.

When I downloaded these SAME tracks from HoldOnToYourHat earlier, he had got them from Rockpassion as well. I'm not entirely sure what bitrate he used to post them (I think it was 224 KB/s). When "Stoneme" saw the postings, he asked about how he had got a copy of " IT'S A GAS " couldn't remember. When I asked about the origins of " ITS A GAS ", he mentioned that he had created the Paris concert using two audio sources, the PARIS AUX PRINTEMPS CD and a DVD taken of the concert.

The trouble I found was the two audio sources didn't particularily sound the same. Looks like your CDR is from the same source.

So getting back to your CDR, if you downloaded like I did from " HoldOnYourHAt " then your songs were encoded at 224 KB/s. When you import into itunes, regardless of what bitrate you set, the songs can only re-create the information that is equal to the source, not greater. The file will occupy the space in Kilobytes of a 320 KB/s transfer but in reality only contain the music detail of a 224 KB/s transfer.

However; if you got the concert as a true CDR copy, where the songs are burned as standard WAV files, encoded at the standard 1411 KB/s, then your itunes songs that you imported are true 320 KB/s transfers.

See my point.

Depending on the above scenario, you may or may not have the exact same song versions as I do. The only difference would be is whether your songs are actually 224 KB/s or 320 KB/s which would have some impact on the sound quality.

Cafaro:

Nothing to be sorry about. Everybody owes you a great deal of gratitude for all you've done lately in posting a tremendous amount of music. I'm amazed at how many high quality concerts I've downloaded in the past 3 months from IORR.

I just wanted to be sure that I wasn't duplicating what I've already downloaded.

I started out with a shopping list of titles that I wanted to obtain, based on internet reviews / hotwacks books and I've exceeded my own expectations.

Over the same span of time, I've uploaded several concerts and individual songs as a way of saying thanks to all the kind folks like yourself at IORR.

Trust you will fully recover in time.

Mother says goodnight !

P.S.

My first Rolling Stones concert was 1966 here in Toronto. I was 18 years old in 1966 and loved the Stones since 1964. The warm-up band was our own local garage-rock group from Yorkville called the Ugly Ducklings who Mick Jagger would later say was his favourite Toronto group. Their sound imitated the Rolling Stones and their 2nd guitar player looked like Brian Jones with the same blonde haircut. That night the Ugly Ducklings opened their set with Everybody Needs Somebody To Love. For the teenage Ugly Ducklings, it was a dream come true to play on the same show as their idols. True story.

Cafaro: Thank you again, but I think you uploaded the first songs of CD 1 (JJF, IORR and Live With Me) instead of the Nov. 6 missing tracks.
