Well, I dont have time to go home & get my 4-piece Elvis box,

I´m not kidding you know But I guess she´ll have to wait until tomorrow. I already yousendited her the song, which I had ripped at home, but she thought it was junk mail!

Oh well, we can always listen to her Edith Piaf CD or something...

I am really trying hard to convert her. She thought "Let It Bleed", wasn´t a half bad record!

P.S. First post on this board after having lurked for years. I saw the Stones in Helsinki in ´98 and ´03 (got Keef´s guitar pick last time around - and he GAVE it to me, didn´t THROW it) - less than 3 months till Gothenburg!

I like Edith Piaf (and many others French singers/composers from that time like Brassens ,Brel ,Ferre ,Aznavour) ,I also like classical music (mainly piano pieces) does it mean that I don't qualify to be a Stones fan?
I just call it nonsense and to a certain extent quite narrow minded.
Remember what Miles Davis used to say:"there are only two kinds of music,the bad one and the good one !

I think we Scandinavians were just joking around

bein narrow-minded musically. Just search my contributions back in
time here on Trade. Like Topi says, we were kiddin'.
But you cant deny IORR is VERY male-dominated.

I dont fancy 'real'jazz; but most other music styles.
I love Piad, Brassens, Brel / many other music from France/Belgium etc.

More than that; I think we should put more light to Central European music
here (and Western/Easter; African; asian etc) music.
