3 different versions of Honky Tonk Women (one repeated with short MT interview) and Gimme Shelter.
Probably from BBC Transcription Service LPs, because I do not believe that these introductions were on TV. Anyone knows more?

New link: [we.tl]

I added versions of HTW without the speaker over the beginning which I made with the beginning of the studio version. I think the instrumental track is the same as of the studio version, only the vocals are live.

I did some research and found out the following for the tracks recorded on July 3, 1969:

Cannot prove it but most probably:

Track 1 from Transcription Service LP Vol. 247, released 1969-07-23 [www.discogs.com]
Track 2 from Transcription Service LP Vol. 248, released 1969-07-30 [www.discogs.com]
Track 3 from Transcription Service LP Vol. 249, released 1969-08-06 [www.discogs.com] ??? maybe not ???
Tracks 3 and 4 from Transcription Service LP Vol. 250, released 1969-08-13 [www.discogs.com]

Nice research! I love this stuff. It's cool to hear the DJ from 'back in the day.' The Mick Taylor interview
is great. I love the little extras Mick adds to the song, "all right & oh yeah." Nobody can do a better or
be more convincing "all right & oh yeah!" in a song than Mick Jagger.

The Mick Taylor Interview is most definitely from this series.

I'd love to hear the program trailer from #250.

Yes ok the MT interview on Vol. 250 is ok but on Vol. 249 there's also a stand alone MT interview (without HTW and without running time on discogs). I wonder if it is the same or something longer or different or what? confused smiley

The MT-int. on Vol. 249 is different and much longer (ca. 4 minutes).

From nzentgraf.de

Pops'. Host: Brian Matthew. Incl.

N, thanks for this extended interview audio. It's an amazing addition to Stones history. The 20 year old new guy definitely foreshadowed what issues would arise in the future. And this is the clearest, most direct statement by a band member about its activities that I've heard in the 55 years since.

Is there a long version of this Mick Taylor interview available?

Listening to the interview with Mick Taylor and Brian Matthew, I think Mick Taylor's first song released with the Stones going to number 1 on the charts blew his mind!
