Bill WYMAN
“Messing with the blues in Montreux”
Montreux Jazz Festival
28th June 1974 & 23rd July 1977
Volume 3: 23rd July 1977
With Muddy WATERS
(restored from 2 sources)
This project is coming from audios and videos I got forwarded from nzb. The idea was to clarify the tracklists for the Montreux shows on which Bill Wyman was guesting with the famous bluesmen Muddy Waters, Junior Wells and Buddy Guy.
Thanks to the ones who shared their recordings, in particular to nzb, also for his advice and inspiration.

For this show we have 3 sources:
One is a video coming from the Spanish TV (TVE) on the program ‘Popgrama’ which was originally aired on August 9, 1978.
The first eleven tracks are coming from this source (here declicked).
The other source is a saturated recording from an unknown (to me) origin with the last tracks of the show: this source has the outro & the encore song!
This source is also declicked, gaps between the tracks are deleted and the speed is adjusted (decelerated by -1,1%).
The last source here was only used for control reasons: it is the CD 'The Montreux Years' (BMG BMGCAT519CD) with David Richards as sound engineer and restored by Tony Cousins.
On this recording BW is guesting on two tracks (‘I'm Your Hoochie Coochie Man’ and ‘Got My Mojo Working’), both were not uploaded here because of official content.
As usual all the infos are coming from Nico Zentgraf's Rolling Stones Complete Works Database: [
