Hi, i want to share a project i started last week. just and audio and video remaster. As i know, there are no other source than the one released by Jointrip in 2004, so i took the video from Jointrip DVD

here's what i did

VIDEO:
- PAL format: judging by the tight image on Jointrip DVD, looks like the original video was PAL and they converted to NTSC, so i returned to PAL.
- Colour correction: (the original had a yellow tone)
- Colour noise and aberration reduced: take a look to the screenshots compared above, look to the lines that appeared (typical from VHS) those lines were reducted (i couldn't remove them completely)
- Noise reduction and Sharp
- Brightness and contrast: the original was very dark, now it looks a bit better during dark sections.

As bonus tracks on DVD, i added CNIB benefit concert compiling the famous footage + about 3 minutes of "Star Star" and the begginning of "Beast of Burden" included on that Jointrip DVD
i used VirtualDub for video remaster and TMPGEnc DVD Authoring Works for creating DVD.

AUDIO:
i used Vegas Pro for audio remaster, "Jumping Jack Flash" still incomplete on video, but on CD version was patched using "NEW BARBARIANS - Vol 19b - 1979.08.11 - Knebworth (mix of two sources)" to complete the audio
also a little EQ was done over the original shared by StonyRoad (thanks to StonieRoad for his work).

I think it no longer makes sense to make a video and convert it to DVD rather than keep it in its least unprocessed form (mp4 or MKV). Encoding it to DVD does not improve the quality. I’m sure DVD die-hards will disagree, but I cannot remember the last time I burned a DVD (or CD, for that matter).

I want to thank to Everyone who has made a lot of dvd projects through last 25 years for share, Im still burn and enjoy the dvds in home Theatre system.

I dont find any sense to watch videos on a pc or portátil device...

well i agree that it worth posting an uncompressed video file as well as a dvd

i for one still mostly use (and collect crt televisions) and any video quality lost by converting a video to dvd is not really noticeable for me

someone using a modern hd tv on the other hand i agree it's not worth degrading the picture quality by using a dvd better off using bluray or just a usb drive in the side of the tv

Agree but modern TVs (or bluray players) can play mkv or mp4 files as well (e. g. from a USB stick or an external hard disk).

yes, and even better, you can stream all of your content in its original form to all your devices with a Plex server
