This is a mono file from a multi-generation recording from a videocamera in the studio listening to playback. Features presumably David McMurray on sax and I think there's some flute (earlier the video showed someone playing flute in the studio). Quality is not the best, but maybe a curiosity.
After the song Keith says: Let's do Sonny. Bill German listed Sonny (back in the day in Beggars Banquet fanzine) as one of the recorded VL-tracks. I still wonder which song this is!? I'm quite positive that we know this under a different title... but which?
Back in 96/97 with the release of the Vigotone trilogy I really thought we had reached the core of the band’s creative process during the VL sessions.
Boy I was wrong : the Dave McMurray overdubs prove they were still trying to do something different with the tracks chosen for the album (okay Funny was rejected).
I really hope there is more material on that Vhs tape.
thanks again for your rarities uploads. I tried to make these tracks a little bit more listenable and declicked them. It's hopefully ok for you, that I'm posting those here.
