Why is the sound so 'brickwalled' in the official audio versions? I'm going to end up preferring the versions found on YouTube!

Every version of "Hackney Diamonds" is brickwalled except for the Dolby Atmos version. You can get it on the blu-ray disc. Also on you tube: "Sourced directly from Dolby Atmos source files and fully decoded with proper object rendering to PCM with Music Media Helper 7." [www.youtube.com]

Very interesting, why do they do this? What's the advantage? I don't know much about sound engineering, I'm just a guitarist. The “Atmos” mix sounds more subtle, softer. The mix cd sounds as if a "Middle Boost" button had been pressed. Except for "Rolling Stone Blues" which sounds softer on the CD. And now I'm gonna get a vinyl version!
