is there a source available telling us the correct take nos of the respective songs on these discs, f.i. based on Nico´s site, like Black Limousine 1 or Hang Fire 3 ? the original source (DAC) never cares about that.....

Why do you think that 0503. She Was Hot is not from the Art Collins tapes but is track Disc 1, Track 21 from DAC-159? Is it different to 1909. from the Art Collins tape? What is the difference?

I'm curious, how do you match Nico's numbers to original sources? He does not post that information.

These are 2 different takes but you name them both as I (a and b)

By the way, I have no idea if my version numbers match Nico's version numbers.

Hmm, but where did you get those numbers from, f.i. Start Me Up (V) or No Use in Crying (IV) ?
what do they mean ?

Captain Acid showed that you can splice these 2 tracks together into one very long take. That is why I named them Ia and Ib (two parts of the same take).

The numbers mean they’re a different version. I numbered them for my own benefit, and I have a benchmark recording assigned to each one, so I know where to find each one.[/quote
ok, got your point hereQuote

I have no idea what version Nico refers to because he does not offer any way to identify them unless they are official releases [/quote
well, he does it also for not released songs, f.i.
- I Tried To Talk Her Into It I (MJ/KR) -Jim Barber on 12-string gtr
- I Tried To Talk Her Into It II (MJ/KR) -with additional pedal steel guitar; Jim Barber on 12-string gtr
- I Tried To Talk Her Into It III (MJ/KR) -different longer mix to II, with more pedal steel guitar and less
piano and acoustic gtr
- Cooking Up III (MJ/KR) -slower, longer band-version
- Cooking Up IV (MJ/KR) -faster, shorter band-version
- Cooking Up V (MJ/KR) -version IV remixed and faded out
but yes, Hoffmann seems to be the only one referring to respective CDs where the individual takes could be found. unfortunately his last release was 2016 if i remember correctly

Of course, you can put it together, but then you have some self-made edits.

Well, he also does it for not-released songs, for instance.

Sorry, my bad, I did not remember that you did it first. So are you saying that is not one take? Is it two different takes spliced together?
