Thank you.

This is some kind of the 4th consecutive remaster or so of the original source recordings. smiling smiley
So it is a remaster of a remaster of a remaster of a remaster of the original source... grinning smiley
The originals were the vinly albums "Plug In Flush Out" and "Philadelphia Special".
The first remaster was for the VGP CDs "Plug In Flush Out" and "Philadelphia Special".
The next remaster was for the Rattlesnake box set "Touring Party 1972".
The next remaster was for the Mayflower multiband releases.
The so far last remaster was by Captain Acid, but who knows what will be next...grinning smiley

If you are not interested, just don`t download, it`s very easy.

Dont forget that wonderful release Philadelphia Special Project from 10 or 12 years ago. That got rid of the tracks from elsewhere. And there was a Captain Acid remaster Philadelphia Specialties. Both were great. What's next? I am hoping for an rskinno remaster.

StoneZP, please do not forget about the BEST of all the remasters of the Philly & Fort Worth material - that which appears on Work Sucks, Let's Go on Tour, which is a much-better remastering of the Rattlesnake Box and which adds additional trax.

Bootleg Rambler - Works Sucks, Let's Go On Tour!

I have compared the two, and I feel that "Philadelphia Specialties Acid Project 057" is much better than 0721, not to mention "Fort Worth," to begin with. I have my doubts about May Flower's Multiband. I initially liked the low-frequency boost.
Thanks again Captain.

Thank you.

This is some kind of the 4th consecutive remaster or so of the original source recordings.

This remaster is not from the original source recording. This is a remaster of the recent May Flower release.

So it is a remaster of a remaster of a remaster of a remaster of the original source...

How do you know it is a remaster of a remaster of a remaster of a remaster of the original source? I always wonder about sources of these rereleases. How do we know if someone used the original source or what was the source?

Many armature sound engineers use software to achieve a certain effect. Often the entire recording is subject to the software imposed on the material.

Maybe the software worked well on fixing annoying audience hand clapping but dulled the sound of every song in the recording? I'd want to find the original source if possible and start from scratch.

The originals were the vinly albums "Plug In Flush Out" and "Philadelphia Special".

I remember the "Philadelphia Special" and "the "Plug In Flush Out" vinyl. Did they come from the same source? Were the "Philadelphia Special" albums the first releases? Which came first?

What were the sources of the various releases?

I always appreciate Captain Acid's excellent work!

It is a direct vinyl rip in original track order.

There's a very clever plan at work here at IORR :

after watching the 235th iteration of the Philie tapes being posted here, Jagger or his entourage will finally realize there is a commercial potential for an official release of this material.

Well done flaming galahs! >grinning smiley<
