Stonefan, I am not sure if you are aware of this or not and pardon my post if you know this already....there is free dvd software that you can download where you can take whatever region code the dvd is and burn it onto a blank disc and make that blank disc region free!!! As a suggestion, you should trade for that PAL disc and just convert it to NTSC format while you burn the NTSC copy of it....

spend 30 bucks and buy a dvd player that plays both pal and ntsc.
