JOHN MAYALL’S BLUESBREAKERS.
The 1984 U.S. tours
This is a series dedicated to Mick Taylor’s shows with John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers in the US in 1984.
A big thank you to all the people who recorded these shows and who shared them and to my two accomplices nzb and Jaap (Stonesmuziekfan) who gave me the benefit of their versions of these shows and their advice and support ... and therefore without whom this project would not have been possible.
1984 US tour Part 2: the April shows

09 - Talk To Your Daughter (faded in)
10 - last seconds of She’s Got Something Special
11 - I Can’t Quit You Baby
Oh, Pretty Woman (officially released)*
12 - Muddy Water Blues (incl. Catfish Blues)
13 - Room To Move
14 - Room To Move (reprise) and band introduction #3
Baby What You Want Me To Do (officially released)*
For this show we had 3 versions - all coming from the same source.
It’s also the same source used for ‘Oh, Pretty Woman’ and ‘Baby What You Want Me To Do’ officially released in 2014 (* “Live At Tipitina’s” - Rockbeat RBCD 3269), that's why you won't find these two tracks in this upload.
This recording had to be decelerated by -2,2%. I equalized the channels (+10 to +15% for the right channel), I amplified the sound, I deleted microgaps between the tracks and upgraded the transitions between them (now they start with the song) and I upgraded the beginning and the end for the cd-rs.
Notes:
- This show was in 2 sets so there’s a break after “Italiano Style” and the start of “Talk To Your Daughter” is lost.
- After “Talk To Your Daughter” is a fade out and the recording restarts with the last notes of “She’s Got Something Special”.
- There’s a fade in/out before “Room To Move”.
The pix used for the front covers are coming from the 13th April 1984 in Houston and can be found on: [
