I made a quick comparison with "The Last Incarnation": (tracks 2 & 3). Listen to the background (= crowd): for me they're from the same source, here a little saturated.
but this file are lossless , so it's a great find!
Thanks a lot Gonzalo

Yes, you're right.
The first tracks, the crowd (chats and screams) are exactly the same.
This recording is from 1995 directly from the original taper and his DAT master.
I don't understand why VGP-144 is lossy if the original source was lossless. They can't be so stupid, or something happened in the middle of the rip off, 2 years later, since VGP-144 is from 1997 :p

The VGP Source was taped by a friend of Gthecock. This guy gave the original tape only to T&A Records for their CDRs. I guess someone took those CDRs, created some mp3 and someone gave them to VGP. The usual way to create bullshit by compressing to mp3.

Hi falo!!!
So... G. taped the DAT master, like he says: "... and I was standing very front while recording!" and his friend taped the VGP source. So, they are not the same source, although they seem to be identical. Did I get it right falo?
Thank you so much for your explanation!!!

Falo, a few years ago you said you could have access to basically the whole 95 Euro (or at least its German part?) in DAT format.
Do you have any news?

Ah thanks for the info.
I wouldn't mind getting an alt. version of the June 30 show if it exists. The one released by VGP is barely listenable (digital distortion is bad).

Hi falo,
do you have the raw recording of Hockenheim 1995 as well?

I was at this show.
The ground was the asphalt of the space in front of the VW factory and that was very uncomfortable.
The show was ok but not outstanding.
The real bad experience was: the german train company didn't make it to let some extra trains go. So I and thousands of other people had to wait for hours at the train station of Wolfsburg. The whole thing was exhausting.
I have much better memories to the show in cologne.A real great show and very easy to attend. These things are important for the memories.

Yes, I have the original DATs for a year now in my archive. It's from the guy who did the 1st Wolfsburg recording as well as TSPs Beast of Belgium & Da lapa incident.
Now to the bad part: All original DATs are unlistenable nowadays, drop outs, digital clicks etc... Way back them, he transferred all recordings and added some "stadium sound" to it, but there is no raw transfer available. When he wanted to get a clean copy of his tapes, he gave them to me and we realised that all tapes are damaged.
A least most of the recordings are available in circulation, but not in the original mix. The few missing ones are inferior to other recordings (e.g. Leipzig95 and Luxemburg95 with echo from the stands).
