I think it's an excellent tour. When it happened I thought it sounded too percise, too much like the studio, I was looking for another YaYas or Still Life where the songs sounded way different than the studio version. Granted they are different on this tour but the performances were very polished.
By the time Flashpoint came out I had seen many shows and had watched the pay-per-view over and over and has recordings of some concerts. And At The Max came along and the FOX 3-D special. I dismissed Flashpoint as 'more of the same' but years later I realized it is a great live document.
I always loved the bonus tracks on the maxi CDs. I always wanted Play With Fire and 2000 Light Years to be on Flashpoint but now it is ;0).
As far as the songs being too tight as mentioned in the original post, It takes some splicing of extra audience tacked on to (faded in to) the songs that don't have enough audience to help fade tracks together.
The sound from the At The Max tracks is amazing. What is the source?
Play With Fire from Philadelphia should be considered (Better Than The Real Rebirth or Dead Man Coming). The were a few stand out tracks lost in this rehearsal document. I haven't played it in years so, please take my suggestion with caution.

If "Shattered" sticks out like a sore thumb, then maybe you should consider dropping it or tacking it on at the end as a bonus? Personally, I don't care for bonus tracks but a bonus CD I like. Anything good from the Philly rehearsals or other tracks for bonus material that you were considering but dropped because you found better versions?
Just some thoughts. Great projects!

The first beta of CD1 is done & I've put in 113 ANGIE (1990 02 27 Tokyo-RS Download) which is the rare download-only track from the RS site from way back (thanks to Deltics for that one)
For CD2 I'll put the block of 3 Toronto tracks at the start followed by Blinded by Love from Madrid so that your ears don't get too jarred by different tonal qualities between recordings from different venues.
My latest idea for CD3 is to use exilestones suggestion of Wembley 1990 07 07 as it's got all the remaining songs except for two keith's songs which will be spliced onto the front. Both versions of Street Fighting Man available segue musically into Gimme Shelter (Madrid & Wembley) so I'll have to use both. Wembley is the nicer recording so I might as well use the whole of the second CD there.

Steel Wheels was the first album of that i bought! It was cassette, obviously! Since that, the 1989/90 tour became my favourite one!

This is the second half of the VH1 Rebroadcast of Atlantic City 1989 mixed by Bob Clearmountain which hasn't been bootlegged. It did appear on Wolfgangs vault but I'm not sure of the quality of Wolfgangs stream.

The "Ultimate Steel Jungle" will take a bit longer as there are far more choices & I'm still editing & experimenting. The main work is in getting a smooth transition between recordings with different tonal characterizations. The sterile "Shattered" being integrated into the "boom" of Atlantic City is a challenge. CD3 is virtually finished needing only two Keith's songs being spliced onto the front of the second part of Wembley, listening to this even as we speak.
I must say I'm getting to like this tour more & more apart from Keith's use of that Acoustic Telecaster guitar. The acoustic musician in me (think "Oh Brother Where Art Thou" shudders when I hear that thing.

I wonder why "One Hit" was a regular track throughout the tour? It worked well. Loved it in NYC!
