Tapers Notes:

Woodstock couldn't get the Beatles, the Rolling Stones or Bob Dylan
in 1969. That miracle lineup was an impossibility then and for
most of the years since, until the producers of Coachella finally
made a facsimile of that Sixties triumvirate real with this weekend's
three-day Desert Trip festival in Southern California.

The Stones set was short on special effects (other than some
fireworks near the very end) and none were needed. Stripped down,
the Stones are still a rock & roll band to be feared.

Set List:

1. Start Me Up
2. Banter
3. Out of Control
4. Banter
5. Ride Em On Down
6. Banter
7. Mixed Emotions
8. Wild Horses
9. Its Only Rock and Roll
10. Banter
11. Come Together
12. Tumbling Dice

19. Miss You
20. Gimme Shelter
21. Sympathy for the Devil

24. You Can't Always Get What You Want*
25. Banter
26. Satisfaction

Mick Jaeger, Vocals, Guitar
Charlie Watts, Drums
Keith Richards, Guitar Vocals
Ronnie Wood, Guitar

Bernard Fowler, Vocals, Percussion
Sasha Allen, Vocals
Tim Ries, Sax, Keyboards
Karl Denson, Sax
Matt Clifford, Keyboards, Percussion, French Horn
Chuck Level, Keyboards, Percussion, Vocals
Daryl Jones, Bass

USC Thorton Chamber Singers*

The true thanks go not to me, but to the taping community behind whose footsteps
I have followed, including those who have perfected the art of stealth recordings,
the makers of the stealthy mikes, cords, adapters, and preamps, and those who
have graciously shared their recording techniques.

I am merely a mike stand with a credit card and driver's license.

As always, I don't care what you do with these files, once you download
them--they are yours now, except these files are not for sale, free
trade only. You can thank me by uploading something of a similar genre
or trading with me, so I can.

Regards,

Scooter

Chris from Belgium

I think it is easy to decide which version not to take...

Not for me sadly. I'm hoping to complete DVD and upload today BUT
I'm finishing it off during my lunch break today at work (on a pc with no speakers)

And now we're waiting for the soundboard from the livestream smiling smiley

It's not a contest; I'm very grateful to all people who try to bring us a concert, be it by taping it themselves, or by searching the net for bits and pieces to give us a complete audio of a show.

We are very fortunate to have all these people sharing their efforts with us for free.
Remember the days that tapers sold their recordings to the labels and you had to spend big bucks to get a silver.

Nowadays, we get the shows at the same time the labels do (because they have to download them like we when they are shared/torrented or whatever.

And that's a good thing for all of us; those who only want silvers, still can buy them, but prices are lower than in the old days. And those who don't care about silvers, don't have to wait until a silver gets "liberated". A win - win situation.

As for Midimannz's DVD, it's up to him to find the best audio, and that might be a mix of 2 or 3 versions).

I would recommend waiting for more video clips to surface.

I still haven't entirely recovered and only checked out 2 bands out of 6. A lot of people still aren't home. Who knows where I would be if I had video too.

I know that of course, I was just responding to Midimannz who was wondering and trying to decide which one to use......I was just trying to help that along.......smiling smiley

Great! Thanks a lot Chris and Scooter!

Come Together is probably the worst ever cover the Stones did. Slow as hell, and there's not much going on as far as the two(!) guitars are concerned. It just sounds weak, messy.

This song just does not work when trying to riff it out. What a bad choice!

I did in the end, he has some really nice tones in the mix. I prefer louder bass and drums so I've used Scooters mix in a matrix of my own (YouTube sourced and merged using Cakewalk Sonar) soundtrack

Thanks for the advice

Some means 'a certain number of' or 'a certain amount of'. We don't use some if we are talking about something in general or thinking about it as a category. When we use some, we don't say the exact quantity, but we could probably find it out if we needed to.

Mixing a Schoeps source with something from youtube???? That really seems like pissing in the pool to me. I sure hope you don't plan to do that with my weekend 2 recording using the same gear as Scooter123. Its fine it you want to keep it to yourself but polluting the trading pool isn't helping.
